Pls, I need legal advice on how to go about this issue, I did a fixed investment with them on the 5th of September and forward to September 12, I summited a letter of liquidation via email and a copy with my branch, they are are suppose to terminate the transaction within 24 hours to verification but they kept giving excuses.

I have sent email to cbn and ndic till date no response from both ends. I have a recorded call from the customer care where they stated it clearly that liquidation takes 24 hours.

Pls, what can be done against the bank that will led to compensation for my losses. I lost two business transactions because of the delay .

What are the excuses? Have you visited the bank in person? Bankers like to stonewall liquidation but they have no option once you show seriousness.

If u have concrete proof of the business u lost, because of ur money that was not available at the time u needed it...u can sue them to get compensation.....but If all u have na just audio claim of loss of business, guy u go explain tire...

I was on thursday 12 to liquidate and yesterday I was there and the manager was told me that something occurred in the system and she ask the guy to instigate the transaction again and gave me her number, till now nothing has been done.

Check terms and conditions of the investment package you subscribed to see the minimum days for liquidation ... You may not get it till after 30 days

I acknowledge receipt of your email regarding your fixed deposit liquidation

Please be informed that you will be required to provide us with a valid identification (either a Voter's card, National ID, Driver's license or International Passport) and duly paper signed, hand written instruction addressed to Access bank requesting for the liquidation of your fixed deposit.

Kindly note that the instruction should contain your account details, amount, date and signature as on the account.

Please be aware that you have the option to liquidate your fixed deposit before the maturity date. You will forfeit the interest for the unused days.
