First it was the USA which interfered in the affairs of Ukraine in 2014 with a coup against the government of Ukraine which was a brotherly ally to that of Russia.
Most of Ukraine has been part of Russia for several hundreds of years and the separation only came about in 1991. You have families on both sides of the border and the people of the Donbas and the east of Ukraine identify as what they are : Russians. They opposed the coup and they opposed becoming a puppet of the USA, that prompted USA poppets in Kiev to try and ethnically cleanse them just as netanyahu is ethnically cleansing palestinians.
Russia tried to stop this genocide and entered several deals which Ukraine and USA never respected prompting new negotiations and new deals which Ukraine and USA didn't respect neither.
This lead to war.

And No, the West didn't start the War. WW2 started as an aggressive reaction of Germany's economic destruction and humiliation which was the result of their WW1 defeat as they were the underlying reason why WW1 happened in the first place.

War is 50% aggression and 50% logistics. If you can’t move your troops and weapons, winning probability reduces- Hitler learned this the hard way at Stalingrad.

Nobody said the weapons given to the Soviet Union (not Russia) were free. They were leased.
When the turmoil with the Soviets started, Stalin had to initially move his factory's inland. And it took a while before they could start running. As the Nazis were bombing factories in their path, particularly the weapon-making ones. Production takes time. War doesn't wait. The weapons gotten from the US were vital to keep the momentum of the war with the Nazis. A friend who gives you sustenance when you're extremely thirsty is better than the one who gives you free stuff when you're not. If the Soviets didn't need weapons and machinery from the Americans, they wouldn't have asked.

Yes, they killed more Germans, and the eastern front lost way more soldiers and civilians than on the western front but that's partly due to Stalin's decision to throw everything against the Germans and not evacuate civilians away from the city during battle, believing that his men would fight harder if they knew that their loved ones were nearby. Also Hitler himself threw more of his force into the east, so obviously, there would be more bloodshed there.

The two main reasons why Hitler lost the war on the eastern front aren't because the Soviets fought better- the main reason why the Soviets had an advantage was the brutal winter. Before the winter, the Nazis supply chain ran fairly smoothly and that was why they were able to hold their ground for 6 months. However, as I said earlier, a war without proper logistics is bound to fail. Without the Nazi army being able to penetrate and reach the Russian caucasus areas secure Russian oil he badly needed, there was no way Hitler's war machine could move forward. Blitzkrieging could not move his men forward on a frozen wasteland with no oil. And with the available oil they had literally freezing in their tanks and vehicles and their men and horse freezing to death in the snow , the supply chain was broken and eventually came to a halt. . .which prompted Stalin to call his troops from the Siberian front who were specifically trained to fight in the harsh winter.
The Soviets won on the eastern front because Hitler dug his head in the sand and didn't learn from Napoleon who had made the same mistake 121 years before.

You can undermine the Brits and the Americans all you want but it takes nothing out of what they did. The Soviets had to fight their war since their land was physically being attacked, so did the Brits to a level and Hitler had tried to take over London, but the Americans on the other hand weren't directly hurt. . .but Roosevelt still sent young men to fight and die freeing occupied lands- France, Belgium, the Netherlands which these countries are forever grateful. Were the Soviets going to free them when Germany was recruiting Poles and Dutch men into the SS everyday. Plus America had to fight the war on two different continents, which was extremely difficult to do, they could've just focused on Japan and South East Asia, but they still divided their force and sent them to help the war effort in Europe.

It might not be much to you, but I've come to discover that only people with a narrow vision fail to see that the opening of another front on the West had a huge psychological toll on the Nazis and was a bigger morale boost for the Soviets. After the war was won, they said they never needed the US and the Brits anyways, but prior to that they were praying for the second front to open to divide the Germans attention.
As a female history buff, I've watched several interviews in German of former Nazi soldiers and SS men and they always say the moment their knew the war was lost was when Goebbels announced that a second front in the West had been opened. And that was when the resentment for Hitler and the Nazi party was at its highest. That was mental warfare.

Also if the Soviets felt they could fight ALL the Nazis alone, then Stalin wouldn't have bothered joining Roosevelt and Churchill in a coalition. After liberating Poland that they initially helped Germany to invade, Stalin could've just kept going all the way back to Germany and liberate those western occupied countries while at it and saved every allied soldier on the western front from dying. Since everything was under control on his side.

Uhm, first of all the cold war is over.
Secondly, Cuba has not been invaded by the US. Big difference. Sanctions are different from invasion.

My brother, it's mostly because of politics o. The Cuban and Cuban American community is a very significant voting bloc in this country (especially in a key battleground state like florida) and they mostly always vote for the party that is very against the communist regime in Cuba.
Remember that a lot of these people where the guys or the descendants of the guys that fled the island of Cuba because of Castro so they tend to want the regime to be punished and for the communist govt to collapse. Something they have been looking forward to since the 60's. That's why despite the fact that the cold war has been over since the early 90's, the US still sticks with this failed policy against Cuba smh.
So as you see it's mostly about politics than hegemony (domination) or land grabbing with the US.

My brother, it seems that Russia did not learn there lesson from their failed adventures in Afghanistan in the 1980's and they want repeat the same thing.

The thing with bullies is that they only respect force and action like Afghanistan showed them (and Finland back in 1939). If you dont fight back they will keep attacking you.

Another point I want to make is that if this war was all about NATO then he should have invaded his neighbors who have all joined NATO like Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and recently Norway and finland. Also, if this where about strictly NATO then he should pull out of Ukraine with guarantees that Ukraine won't join NATO but you know Putin, he won't.
