I don't think you can.

Scam farming is only good for gardeners, or people whose compound are cemented.

Good and current thread. Is they anyone who is into rice farming? I'm both local/modern rice farmer. I think it high time now to explore and consider rice farming/planting.
Re: My Pepper Planting Challenge by aeu1:
You suppose to fill the sack bags to full height or else the pepper will get stunted as the roots will not have sufficient depth to spread.
Get bigger and taller sacks and fill up and transplant all these ones immediately.

And 100 plots of land is 5 hectares. Where person want get that? And it is not a joke of a project, it is a lots of work. We that were born into farming know better.
I will create a thread for my four plots of egusi farming tomorrow (plus about 100 seeds of watermelon that cost me N4500) when I take pictures to go along with it tomorrow morning before I leave home. Planted it about three weeks ago
Please, has farming officially commence for the year already? I intend farming a little, if I can get the land here in Abuja, or it's environs.

Good morning nairalnders, let’s do a challenge, plant pepper seed in sacks for your backyard and update us here with the growth for encouragement, I promise to start encouraging anyone that plants daily in my
Own way.

If 2m nairalnders and 5m Nigerian youth can do this challenge for just a week, in 3months we would be having abundance of pepper to eat and consume.

Stop complaining, do something, just plant in 50-100 to hundreds sacks at your backyard, wet every morning and move on with your normal daily life. Is that too much to hel ourselves?

Or to crown it all, hit the jackpot, which is cassava, just get one plot of land and plant casssva, that one is on 6month, piaaaaaam you fry am sharp, garri is 1100.

Am already working on 5plot of one wasted land for cassava like this. You know what? It will only cost me just 350k to finish the project till o harvest. No risk, no Tax, no looking for buyer. Just sell or fry am to garri.

Below is my one month planting progress for the pepper.

This only means I will have more than enough pepper and garri and kudi……ego!! En!!! to use this year.
Hello bro,I want to venture into pepper farming, hope it's not too late this middle of may

They all died in the sack after 5months

For proper growing they have to be transferred to field after planting on the sacks.

I got the experience I needed

if the ground you placed the sack was not cemented, they won't die, because the roots will find their way to the ground through the holes on the bottom of the sack.

Your errors where too obvious.

You clustered the pepper plants, Just one or highest two pepper stands per sack.

Again, you will equally need to be topping manure mixed with a good loamy soil when flowers starts. Then again after some constant harvest, you Will top manure again.

Crops like hot pepper and egg plants cannot be planted in sacks,no matter what you do it will always get root bound, they have very extensive root system,we planted 1200 sacks of pepper last year and learnt the hard way, even at one crop per sack, filled to the brim it doesn't work,it will be healthy and growing well initially but when production starts and the roots kick into overdrive to seek nutrients for the plant that is when the problems will start, sack farm of hot pepper is best for hobbies and ornamental decoration

Normally, planting anything directly to a well prepared soil is way better than planting it in sack or Containers.

But, when your option is left with sack or Containers, you must perforate the under, at a good diameter, to allow excess water drain and as well allow plant with ambitious roots to search for their own nutrient atimes if thier is deficiency in the one you are supplying from top.

Generally, sack/container farming is tricky, you must master it, if not it gets better initially, then goes down to zero later.

I have a target of doing just 100sacks..Av done 31.

Remaining 69. And I am planting at different times..so as to have steady harvest for my family..Then give out some to friends and customers as Christmas package.

Pepper will be scarce ones we approach festive seaaons.
