This decking has been drying out, curing as the rains fall for the past weeks.

We have been lifting up blocks from the ground, we are planning to start laying blocks on the top of this deck.................

the street is not tarred, a modern house..

I was asking if the streed was tarred because as a tropical location, most of Nigerian roads throw up dust when vehicles pass on it if its untarred. Those dust will deface the colour of the painting on a steady basis.

To solve that problem, builders plan and use brown coloured, paints or paints in that hue to paint the house if the house is near an untarred road.

Dark grey has always been a good alternative to brown colour. It can also hide stains and dust, unlike lighter colours like cream, white and others.

This building still dey confuse me Sha...from the picture,the first floor is covered by sand or what? I can see windows on the other side of the ground floor and the other side look as if it's covered with sand ..

The building has a basement flat. 1 flat will be sub level with a decking which will be on the same level as the foundation of the other side. This was caused by the nature of the land which is very sloped.
