So what is fuel subsidy to start with?

You surrendered your whole Petroleum industry superstructure to multinationals and then turn back to buy final products from these companies at international prices, when you can easily own the whole industry, and set your own indigenous prices forthwith.

That is the meaning of Nigerias Petroleum subsidy regime. And thats why countries like Libya can do so much with cheaper prices, and we cannot. Those other Oil exploring countries, control the prodution chain much enough to set local prices right, and still turn profits .

Even you, if you're a bit sensible, would know the best way would've been to remove the subsidy in batches, while making policies that'll reduce the effects of the removal on the masses.
Tinubu came and removed it just like that. It's just like a baby who is still being breast-fed, you introduce them to solid foods gradually and not immediate.

Very serious matter .despite the country's political trial ,they are still buying at low rate. Petrol in Libya costs O.15 Libyan Dinar ....N52. How about the cost of water?....1 Libyan Dinar ($0.80) per Litre bottle in a Cafe ... that's N1200 . Broadcasting how cheap petrol is in Libya is negative and would only add more stress ... why not tag the price of water and add some positive energy in having us explore the possibility of swapping water for petrol?
