But we all know that election processes in Nigeria are still with all kinds of flaws and irregularities. So it is expected that someone like Obi, who has vested interest in the result of the election, will tend to blame the irregularities in the election if the outcome doesn't favour him (ANYBODY WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING ! )
Regardless of whatever irregularities and manipulations that took place in the election, I actually do think that the majority of Edo people wanted Monday to win, which is a good thing for democracy.

There has been attempt to rewrite the history of the yorubas and the benin kingdom, maybe it is a supremacy battle between the Ooni of ife and the king in benin I don't really know. The name olumide is the biggest rejection in his candidacy. Edo will never vote for olumide not at this time when the tension is still there. I think some chiefs from benin were suspended for their comment during a visit to the ooni where they claimed benin kingdom is an extension of the Ooni of ife and Ooni is the father to them all. And a candidate with a yoruba name is coming out to contest at this time? He can contest 100 times, he will never win in Edo.

It is clear that the opposition parties particularly pdp n LP do know what strategy to use in checkmating the APC rigging apparatus based on the present state of the electoral act,but there's a way out,since electronic voting n instant transmission of elections results is not mandatory for now,what the opposition parties should do is to go to court n get a ruling to make it mandatory for all elections results to be publicly announced at the polling units n the results which must be signed by all the accredited party agents at the unit before it can be accepted as a valid result,the results at the polling units must be pasted at the unit n every agent allowed to snap it.I said this because, from experience,I noticed that the worst rigging in form of results alterations, swapping n the rest always occur between movement from the polling units to the collation points so if the proper results are known at all the polling units I believe the rigging would be drastically reduced,the rigging may still occur were party agents sells out which is a possibility.Buy I wonder why the police that always get a copy of each polling unit result are never call upon to give evidence n produce their own results during litigations why?.
