That man called Dangote must be a fool!!!.
Prudency of government expenditures and infrastructural development as well as standard of living can you compare the two countries? Why is he finding it difficult to reveal the actual price he is selling PMS to the NNPC?

Does it even matter. Compare minimum wage first
the minimum wage of Saudi is not enough for them to survive, same way it's not enough to survive in Nigeria.

Minimum is not living wage.

Learn the difference.

Aliko Dangote, the man with the plan.
Exactly, by creating the subsidy sentiment true landing cost of PMS would be higher... Most Marketer would be forced to load from him.

Rather than tackle marketers tackle the policy that keeps them in the competition...

This is rather a 2 way sword... By removing subsidy the pressure on FX reserve would be reduced. Giving the CBN more leverage to intervene in FX rates... Lower exchange rate means lower fuel prices. So I can't complain.

its an internationally priced product. Do you consider minimum wage for price of things like mobile phone or carshuh Iphone 16 price in usa is the monthly salary of a cleaner. Same iphone is 3-4m in Nigeria. 🥴

Stop lying! Saudi minimum wage is by far better than what you have in Nigeria, a slave wage. i.e. falls below the $2.15/day abject poverty line. undecided

What are you trying to defend here?
Is the comparison even necessary in the first place given the standard of living of the two countries?
So you are proud of how things are in this country?
Such pity 😔 😔 😔 😔

Saudi minimum wage is 4000 riyals

1 riyal = 444 naira

Saudi minimum wage in naira is 4000 x 444 = 1,779,086.93 naira!

Nigerian minimum wage is just a paltry 70k that they are yet to implement.

And you want somebody in Nigeria to pay the same amount for petrol those in Saudi pay? Haba Alhaji
Hmm, it's just about him and his business. Selfish & wicked souls.

This people don’t even know what cheaper means. If the naira appreciate to 400 to a dollars today will he said the same thing?

Clearly this people don’t even understand the basis of econony and people like tinubu have no business as president of a country.

You devalued the naira and saying fuel in cheaper in your country after increasing it to about 600%.

Hmm...

Most of these analysis that requires conversion from one currency to the other are often misleading and negate what truly matters, which is the purchasing power of the common man, primarily, the least paid workers.

A straightforward analogy which makes more sense is how much fuel can be bought with the minimum wage?

The average minimum monthly wage in Saudi Arabia is about 4000 SAR. PMS averages at about 2.3 SAR per litre. So 4000 SAR gets you about 1700 litres of PMS.

In nigeria, with minimum wage at N70000 and pms averaging N1000 per litre, your minimum wage gets you 70 litres of pms.

Case closed. Any other calculations or conversions are just exercises in futility because the purchasing power of the masses in any country is what matters most.

Look at USA. Average minimum monthly wage is about $1200. Average pms price is $1 per litre. So minimum wage in USA gets you about 1200 litres of pms.

Our suffer done tey. Even when petrol was #65 per litre, minimum wage was #18,000 which could get just 277 litres of fuel

This is an uneven comparison can you compare minimum wage, quality of life in Saudi to Nigeria undecided . Saudi Arabians can afford to fill up 3 cars in a day whereas 98% of Nigerians can't afford to buy 10 liters of fuel comfortably.
Nigeria is the only Oil producing country without a 24 hrs power supply and with the highest rate of poverty.
Dangote+ FG + NNPCL are the same con men and they are collectively playing Nigeria. Have you ever wondered why Dangote can't disclose the cost at which he is selling fuel to NNPCL L. huh

You are sensible. What ruined Nigeria is the management of foreign exchange rate. If dollar is N400 as Tinubu met it, petrol price would be N250. Minimum wage should be able to buy at least 1000 litres of fuel. We are worst than poverty capital of the world.

Minimum wage in Nigeria is how much again.
Tinubu's minimum wage will buy you how many litres of PMS again

That is it. Simple and short.

That is how you can truly know if economic progress in being made or not. How are the people surviving.

As counterintuitive as it may sound, infrastructure is not an end in itself when it comes to economic development. It is how it impacts on the economic empowerment of the masses that really matters.

FX is even more irrelevant in the big picture. A country can have an exchange rate of 5000 units of its currency to $1 and do very fine. Another can have an exchange rate of 1:1 and be in a terrible economic state.

Until our leaders begin to think local, think human economic development and of course, deal with corruption, Nigeria is going no where.

Typical of a criminal capitalist!

Why should cement be that cheap in Nigeria
Oil cabal is stronger than oil cartel, they want to sell at a lower price than my company
Ban oil Importation
Remove subsidy and let Nigerians buy at Saudi rather than Lybia price
NNPC could subsidise my company products.

My interest over the masses.

Pls convert the tax and other cost involved plus cost per litre to dollars, then get the equivalent in naira, then you can relate to dangote's data. Aramco is same as subsidises nnpc, but that doesn't work at pump prices.
