I came to Abuja with my starlink on roaming plan, but speed I'm getting is very bad. Like 5-20mbps down speed.
Is this how it is in Abuja abi there's problem with my kit? The place in the far north I came from I get 350+mbps.

I have an Open box Starlink Ethernet Adapter (Never used before)…. I bought it thinking I will have a spot in my house that won’t have access to Starlink wifi coverage….

I am also selling it with the Starlink Router mount and the Ethernet adapter mount I ordered last year from Amazon….

I do not need the mount again since it didn’t come on time before getting it another one

Everything goes for 65k

If you are in UYO better but if you are in another state you will be responsible for the waybill
I'm interested

If you're in city centre or around city centre, it's probably congestion.

Hi folks,

Just joined the Starlink gang.

Speed of 18-23 Mbps. Quite discouraging.

The device is still on the floor in my house, hope to mount it tomorrow. I hope this improves the speed.

I was expecting 100Mbps+

Yes, Starlink requires a clear view of the skies without any obstruction in view for best performance.

However, speed also depends on saturation of the service within a location. If you are in Abuja or Lagos, lower your expectations.

Hello Starlink Family,

I live in Oyo town and I'm considering joining the Starlink family. I have a few questions before I proceed:

is the internet speed faster in Oyo?

Can I buy Starlink directly from the website, or do I need to go through a third party? If you ordered yours directly, how long did it take to arrive?

Lastly, I had a previous experience where I bought an iPhone and had to pay almost 250k in customs duty. Do I have to pay any customs duty when purchasing Starlink? If so, how much should I expect?

Looking forward to your insights!

Thanks in advance.

Hi, please are you located in Lagos?

I placed mine over three weeks and am yet to receive mine. Please is there a suggestion that would help me resolve this issue?

I can assure you that something is not right with this order. No way Starlink would take 3 weeks to deliver your kit in Nigeria right now, as they have stocks in the country. Unless your location has reached capacity and you only booked a spot for future availability. But if you placed your order through a third party, better hold that person because they're lying to you.

No I placed my order from the starlink portal and they only deducted the initial amount 38k I have been checking the page frequently but I see the device hasn't been shipped yet, if my area isn't available what's the workaround?

As I mentioned in my initial post, charging you only 38k means that your location has reached capacity and you only booked for future availability in your location.

Cancel your order and you will be refunded. Thereafter, you may order from Jumia or Konga, but only if you know that there's a service address within 15 to 20km from your physical address that hasn't reached capacity.

Here's Starlink map site: https://www.starlink.com/map
Zoom into your state to see the locations that are yet to reach capacity.

Then use Google maps to determine the distance between your physical address and available service addresses.

1) Speed in Oyo will likely be Between 150 - 200 Mbps on a norm for the 5 GHz band, the 2.4 GHz band has significantly lower speed at 20 -30 Mbps...

2) Yes, you can order it directly from their website, and it will take 2 working days after your order to be delivered to you.

3) There is no customs fee since you are not importing anything. Starlink has supplies in Nigeria to meet your demand.

Don't waste any more time, unless you want to wait till the end of October to see if the cheaper iteration (Starlink mini) will be on sale in Nigeria.

Cheers...

Hello, please I’m looking to get starlink here in Lagos. I’m close to Trinity Police station which is very closer to Sunrise / Mile 2 axis.
My question is if I purchase from konga for 480k (standard Actuated kit) would I have access to the residential plan at 38K ?
Also When I tried to order from starlink directly it says my area is at capacity.
But If I put my service address on the starlink map, this is what I get;
Availability: expanding 2025
Download speeds: 41Mbps - 145Mbps
Upload speeds: 11Mbps - 24Mbps
Latency: 31ms - 56ms

I’m intending to use for Gaming and also to stream 4K contents (without buffering) I also do heavy downloads due to gaming updates. the likes of COD Warzone…

Since the Map says “expanding in 2025” don’t know if I purchase from konga as a third party to bypass the area at capacity thing
Would I then be able to enjoy the full benefits ?

Please I’m looking forward to your insights
Thanks in advance

Truth is Lagos is at full capacity for now. Starlink has given you correct information from their website. Whether you buy from Konga, Jumia or any other dealers, you won't get that 38K residential plan for now until more satellites are deployed to cater for more starlink subscribers in areas with full capacity like Lagos
