I got this Huawei Y7 prime and installed WhatsApp, but keep telling me to install official WhatsApp app even though I installed it from Google Play Store. I also downloaded it from the website shown in the screenshot, but still the same.
How can I get it working, please?

I'm sorry to say but it can't work. I got the Honor 8x and it is just sitting idle at home. I have been to Garrison in PH, Alaba, Ikeja, Lawanson in Lagos but none could help me. 70k wasted. Avoid any Foreign used Huawei phones for now.

Thanks bro, but it's working fine now. It doesn't register a phone number you've used in another phone previously. I used one SIM card I've never used for WhatsApp before and it's now registered just in a single attempt.

How far, Still working? And is it WhatsApp business or the regular WhatsApp app?

Oboy, what I discovered to be the problem will shock you.
Google Play Store.
The version the phone came with is the oldest version.
I got to know when I downloaded Naija whot but couldn't play it. I received a pop up message to download newer version of Google Play Store to enable me play it, which I did via Google Search.
That was when everything started working, including WhatsApp.

Download latest version of Google Play Store and everything will work fine.
Mine is running WhatsApp fine now.

I just downloaded the latest version of google play staore gia google search. Did the WhatsApp things, but, it still didnt work
