Except sowore, the rest of them are not activists. There's a difference between attention-seekers and human rights activists.

Sowore had been a core activist before becoming a politician. That guy has paid his dues. His track records as a student activist during the military era are there. Did you know he was once the SUG president of UNILAG? Are you aware he was expelled twice by the same institution during the early days of his activism? You probably did not know that he had been actively involved in serious activism before the advents of social media. Before Sahara reporters.

The likes of Aisha and vdm are mostly active on social media, not physically grounded. If dem see serious yawa + gbege face-to-face, dem go run away, aswear.

I don't see that as a big deal. Activism and political struggles go hand-in-hand. People like Zik and Awo started off as activists before delving into politics. Both Fela and Gani Fawehinmi played party politics too. Fela formed a party known as MOP (Movement of the People). Gani's party was NCP.

Those two were a pain in the ass to murderous dictators.
