georgee:Please what are the other “plan options” and “speed” that you would recommend that can carter to my needs ( gaming, streaming 4K and heavy downloads) at least before the deployment of more satellites since I may not be able to get the base 38K residential plan. I really want to get it soon cuz I have a feeling that the price for the hardware might increase soon Thanks |

Starlink has increased residential plan from 38k to 75k. Hmmm. This economy. |

75k sounds high but that's just $45. Blame Tinubu and government for making the naira useless. Someone who before being presido said he'll reduce the purchasing power of the people. Soon we may be buying bread 500k, because that's how useless the naira currency will become. Nonetheless, the roaming was exaggerated. I thought it was meant to be $53-55. That should have been like 85-90k naira. I guess they've realised there are many Nigerians on the roaming who are slowing the satellites down in Urban places. So they want to discourage people with high price for roaming. They even said, if you no wan pay, you are free to cancel your starlink 😁😁. Dem no send una papa. Once again, thanks Tinubu for destroying us. |

| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by otis54(m): 7:39am On Oct 01, 2024 |
jmaine:I knew this was going to happen sooner or later but the price increase is really much ooo almost a 100% increase. With this, in 2 to 3 months time Lagos is going to have some open slots for the residential plan because I’m certain not everyone can keep up with this new price. Time for Airtel to aggressively market their unlimited plans in order to gain some Starlink customers over. |

You have been enjoying dirt-cheap premium internet services. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/03/23/spacex-raises-prices-for-launches-and-starlink-due-to-inflation.html https://www.cnbc.com/2023/02/22/spacex-starlink-residential-monthly-pricing.html Why complain? |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ibawon(m): 8:22am On Oct 01, 2024 |
Check it, did they really increase the price, about na Naira rubbish itself. Let them bring back the option to pay in $ or just introduce Residential lite plan like they did in Kenya. The Tone of that email is very harsh as Tinubuconomics don vex dem. If you can't pay, please cancel. 😤 in severe pains |

aieromon:Why don't you want people to vent? Purchasing power differ across board. Not everyone can afford to spend 75k monthly on data for home use alone. This is the right time for local mobile broadband ISPs to up their game and introduce competitive unlimited subscription plans to attract potential customers |

EduTechTainMent:Anybody that invested over half a million naira on an internet kit should focus more on value of service rather than its cost. |

aieromon:Please.. Please.. Don't come here sounding elitist... You have to also know pricing is also a crucial part of commerce.. Don't come here sounding as if we don't have any right to vent... You feel everyone can afford 75K? I remember one of the grounds Starlink was allowed to operate in Nigeria was the insistent that they factor in economic realities in pricing.. By November, I am dumping this kit and going back to my GSM jeje.... It was great enjoying seamless Internet for a very little while.. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Sapiosexuality(m): 9:16am On Oct 01, 2024 |
jmaine:Why not sell subscriptions to your neighbours that way you can easily pay the 75k? |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by jmaine: 9:33am On Oct 01, 2024 |
Sapiosexuality:That's if one has neighbors willing to pay... I live in a poor neighborhood, and the young lads who may be willing to pay (Highly discounted) are aspiring internet fraudsters. Scared their activities may jeopardize my service.... |

jmaine:Valid point. |
| Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ibawon(m): 10:38am On Oct 01, 2024 |
aieromon:This did not apply to Nigerians, also I joined when we payed in $ so it's $45 from $43 at the rate of ₦1670. If them move am to $50, no choice until a better choice comes along. Na Naira fault. If Naira fixes which I doubt, they would readjust. It's business, nothing personal. Thanks T-Pain! |

This is the way to go, I don't know why people don't listen or consider this. Pair Starlink with a 3rd party router and look for 3 or 5 neigbors or next compound that can pay 10 to 15k per month to reduce the fees you pay is commonsense. This is the way to go now rather than going back to spending 20 to 25k per month for Nigerian network providersbwith their piss-porr service Sapiosexuality: |

Hi guys, while setting up my starlink account, the available subscription for my location includes Business subscription which is 50k per month. Can I opt for that? |
