6 year tenure. Logical reasons why❓ none. If Our present condition in this present regime is to deepen in the next six years at this rate? Terrible. We vote in useless keadrs in nigeria and since we r looking for a savior we can't give longer tenures to subtle criminals
2.Ond is too minor to give to someone to run an entire nation. Too minor. B Sc or even PhD shud be d least.
3. If only we can restrixt our voting populace to people of sound academic mind to avoid these disastrous national electoral mistakes we keep making

First yr is for settling down..last yr is to plan another election for his second tenure..
Within the 2yrs he won’t be stepping on any toes so that he can secure his 2nd tenure..

It won't cease, but it will be shorter suffering for the people. Because this two term of 4 years is almost same as single term of 8 years. Elections in this part of the world is not free & fair, so they always rig their way into office. It is better to suffer for 6 years than 8 years.

A child who did not go to school for 15years does that child have any possibilities of going to school again? A child who graduated from secondary school since 2015, may be still waiting for a possible change in governance so that he or she can afford to go to university does that child have any possibilities of going to university any more since this terrible 14year??People who who support all this things should at least, use there brain for once, if possible president should serve only for 3 years, so that we will know the suffering has a limited time...

Contesting for second term makes some of them to perform in their first term all because they needed second term votes. Now just giving them a single 6year term is an avenue for them doing nothing

You sound as if it is my wish for Nigerians to suffer?? In a country where the most influential man can rig himself into office, do Nigerians have a choice?? Since we are already operating a system whereby the most influential gets into office, not by the peoples vote, it is still better to minimize the suffering. 1 year tenure doesn't exist anywhere, I would have advocated for it. If they the leaders can agree to a single 4 years term, the better for us.
