Yes sacrifice is the right way of getting out of any economic mess. But the politicians are not ready to make any sacrifice. You can't build an economy through sacrifice made by the people and take it away through curruption perpetrated by the politicians. It can't work that way. All the money saved during Obasanjo's govt where is the money today. The politicians plundered the country into deeper and deeper debt resulting in over $60billion.

Due to the economic situation in the country people only spend except it is absolutely necessary because they are managing the little they have. So if you're selling non essential items you'll discover your sales are low and you still have to pay bills and still provide for your family when you go to restock the amount you usually buy have changed due to inflation so you buy less quantity the tread continues until the empty spaces in the shelves begin to show. My brother the country is really hard now everytime you go to market the price has changed from what you buy the last time. The only people that are a bit insulated are those that sell essentials stuffs like foodstuffs or restaurants, pharmaceuticals and baby products.
