EFCC Arrests 33 Suspected Internet Fraudsters, Recover Fake Dollars In PH by Newlymarried(op): 4:08am On Oct 03, 2024

Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 33 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The anti-graft agency disclosed this in a statement released today, October 2.

The suspects were arrested in their hideouts around Iwofe and Ogboro axes of Port Harcourt in a sting operation, based on credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet fraud.

Items recovered from the suspects include various mobile phone devices, laptops, boxes of fake United States Dollar , fake Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stamps, Customs stamps, airport clearance stamps, DHL and FedEx stamps and two cars.

The suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

Is it comparable to the ones the bigger boys aka politicians and their cronies have dealt with us all including you? The amount of money you pay for their own scams runs into millions for each one of us. That is not even putting into consideration the billions of dollars that have been borrowed to be stolen but to be repaid by your grand children.
EFCC should just be renamed Yahoo boys Crime commission.

The way EFCC is going about it, you will think that it's only Nigerians that Participated in Internet scams. There are far more effective ways of detecting Internet scams that is if the Nigerian government and EFCC are actually interested in fighting Internet scams in this age of AI and machine learning. But the Nigerian government is only interested in doing eye service to the west and EFCC is only interested in sharing yahoo boys money asserts seized.
