My corolla 2009 speedometer stopped working, and it's showing brake signs on the dashboard.

Did you do any work on the car recently?Especially the shocks, linkage, hub etc

It hardly pups up on its own

Abs module or speed sensor issues.

Solution.if u stay in a damp area or pot holed and bad muddy area,I guess u were stuck inside a bad spot and struggled to get out your brain box sent a warning message to your injector mouth to lock acceleration count,thereby stopping your speedometer to count,if u check u will notice your rpm is counting but the speedometer is stuck on zero. Simple trick,get obd scanner to wipe off and reset.it would start working immediately,if u go rewire.dem go scatter your engine

All d lights on my dashboard dey display like say na nite club. I don wipe am tire it still resurfaces after few days

Heya.kpele. my own na just abs and the wire go cut but we joined it back,but it seems not to work. Alaye no stress yourself.disconnect the battery over nite.leave it for 2 days.dont rush to mechanic or rewire.last time i went to mechanic is 5months ago,when i watched hw to change plugs,fuel pump,battery,coils,oil,na only alignmemt dey carry me go shop. Even rewire work sef,e no hard.study your car on youtube.learn to DIY

Likely the particular sensor of the tyre removed for the shaft job. That will also trigger the Abis light sometimes

It could also mean the instrument cluster is having issues
