Igbo was taught in schools in the old East before the war. It was compulsory.
It is being taught today although optional.
Uche is of Aros ancestry. He is from Elele where they were sheltered when hinterland ikwerre chased them away during the war. They had no place to go until boundary communities like Elele and Isiokpo sheltered them.
Uche Okwukwu has the right to gun for the position of Ohaneze leadership. He is Ikwerre -Igbo.

The ikwere have never said they are igbos, if u go their king's and chief and others keep telling us the public they are not igbos, but u found out the Igbos missed ikwere or born in ikwere are the ones saying the are igbos, but the full blooded ikwere will tell u they are ikwere not igbo.
