Are you mentally ok at all?why did the court bar the police from providing security in an election when their constitutional duty is to protect lives and property in Nigeria but because one minister in Abj who has no business with Rivers politics now wants to be a godfather and shift Tinubu one side and start giving IGP orders to frustrate rivers election. How can any judge in his/her right mind issue an order restraining police from providing security. No matter the issues at stake, security is crucial and absence of same is an invitation to crisis chaos and breakdown of law and order

Former Rivers State Governor and current Minister for Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi has praised the former Nigeria preident, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his ability to complete more than 80% of his projects before leaving office.

According to Daily Post, the Minister of Transportation on Tuesday commended the immediate past administration of ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan for embarking on massive projects that have been beneficial to Nigerians.

Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in Abuja, the former Rivers State governor said his Ministry did not meet any comatose project on assumption of office. He said the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration continued the projects of the previous administration because “We realised the impact of the recession.’

Amaechi noted that the Kaduna-Abuja railway was nearly 80% completed by the Jonathan’s administration. He said, “In the ministry of transportation, we did not meet anything comatose. We met an attempt to bring back our rail services.

“The Kaduna-Abuja railway was nearly 80% completed which we commissioned and commercial services have commenced.’’

Police is obeying Wike orders would have been a more appropriate headline.

Because no court, not even the Supreme Court should have the power to stop the police from providing security which is their statutory responsibility.

But if the Nigerian Police Force have decided to become a political tool in the hands of politicians battle, then I suggest Governor Fubara should hire a Private Security Outfit or draft in militants from the creeks to provide security and ensure the Local Government elections go on smoothly
