1. French School TV (on YouTube) download and watch their live old videos. Listen to the remarks made after a mock situation of expression orale and expression ecrite.
2. Joined a french discord group where you meet and speak with other french learners and native speakers. Good for expression orale especially if you don't have any body to speak with.
3. Wrote at least 1 letter and fait divers every day for 3 months and ran them through Chat GPT for corrections. Chat GPT was my buddy. It came through for me in IELTS and now for TEF. Chat GPT helped me tremendously. I was always scoring between B1 and B2, (I even scored A2 once ) but I focused more on the corrections GPT gave and strengthened my weak points, till I finally hit C1 a day to the exam after 3 months. Eventually, I scored a C1 in the real exam.
4. Bunch of links and videos I got from YouTube/ Facebook.

In conclusion, one has to practice, practice and practice. 700k no be joke!

Check the Alliance Française website for details on how to register and pay online or you can go to their Ikoyi branch to pay. They don't offer paper-based tests, it is computer-based.

Mr Julius Marius is undoubtedly not one to be recommended.

He was recommended and I contacted him to register for monthly class for 4 months.
Paid him for the first month, and not even one class happened.
Why? His ego couldn't accommodate questions. How do I proficiently read in a language I am trying to learn? If I can read it, why do I need him?

We settled for refund and he claimed he was sick and needed time to come up with the payment I just sent him less than a week of July 28th. He managed to refund 60% of what I paid end of August.

It's Chat-GPT. But focus more on the reasons why you are getting a certain grade not just the grade alone. In my opinion, the corrections/reasons are more important!

Ask it to help smoothen awkward phrases and highlight the logical connectors it used. This way you jot down new words while increasing your vocabulary and getting better on grammar usage.

I reached out to the number on the banner, and she told me to register on the UNIBEN website and then come to the department to open a file. Hi All,

Happy to share that after nearly 1.5 years of studies, I cleared my 1st (and last) TCF at Alliance Francaise Lagos and received ITA yesterday in the French draw.

French took my CRS to 508 which was way more than the CRS needed for the draw, 446. I am truly grateful to God.

I'll be back to share tips and advice but first, a big shout out to all the OGs who made this thread such a valuable resource. Each time I was discouraged, I would come here and read stories of people who had made it.

N.B. If TEF is showing you shege, TCF might be a source of respite. Don't sleep on it.
