Read the remaining part for you to know say e no dey serve any jail term. Awon werey.

After confirming from the prosecutor that Akajiobi had no prior criminal record, Justice Lewis-Allagoa ruled that he could pay a fine of N2m in lieu of serving the four-year prison term

He even has a N2Million fine in lieu of 4 years.
So sad, just too lenient.
This one will pay the fine and return to the hustle

The sentencing is too lenient, that is why there is no deterrent.
Compared to when caught in Asia where they are killed.
danvon:
He'll be out in 2 years or less
ipobcannibals:
Developer will do it again after getting released in 4yrs time. The death penalty is needed to rid the soceity of these unrepentant pests!
chukwuibuipob:
angry 4 years instead of 40 years
Warrior99:
You sabi dem!
Those people from that side nor dey hear word.
4 years is nothing; should have been a life sentence if not a death sentence.
Quelme:
Do the crime, do the time.
YorubaDemonswag:
He should have been sent to life imprisonment
integrity16:
What kind of Judgement is this? A cocaine trafficker for only 4years?
We really need to overhaul our Justice system ilin this country.
TemporaryHansel:
Only fours? That is absurd. They should be sentenced to life imprisonment. Anyone who knows the damage and effects of hard drugs addiction will not argue about that.
I believe the sellers of the drugs should be held responsible.
Sleekfingers:
4 years . This country is finished.....
Drug trafficking should be life sentence with hard labour.....and 100 strokes of koboko every day .
sammirano:
I thought life imprisonment was agreed upon for these people
freemanq:
Just 4 years? Are you encouraging or discouraging people from going into drugs?
opeldavid:
Hahahaha....no worries, he would enjoy the VIP section or nice cossy apartment with full AC. What a joke of a nation.
mercysamuelson:
Gboom Just 4 years?
He will come out strong and reinforce again.
Pootle:
jus 4years
Read well. He won't spend ANY TIME in jail. He was sentenced to N2m fine. The 4 years they put there is for show. He paid the lawyers who paid the judge who gave him a slap on the wrist- that's how they get rich. Nigeria judicial system is ROTTEN!

An option of N2million fine? What a load of B.S.
I'm really pissed off with this underachiever scenario when Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, etc, have capital punishments for this kind of drug trafficking offences.

Nigeria and the legal system are indeed major enablers of drug crimes. Just imagine the stupid punishments being dished out after criminal investigators and Intelligence Agencies have worked there butts out to ensure these criminals are taken down. This guy is gonna be a repeat offender in this international drug crimes until the death penalty via lethal injections, electric chairs, hangings, etc, are implemented again in that country called Nigeria.
