Some years ago, I went to see someone working on a dam project in Benue State in one of the Local Government, I have done a few projects in Benue for some time now.
Now, the issue on ground then was a female commissioner of education who stated a rule, the rule was, you must write your WAEC in the school that you wrote ur WAEC mock exam.
U know why she made that rule?
She made the rule simply because students in Benue at that time (don't know about now) had the habit of writing mock exam in a school which can teach very well but won't allow students to cheat in WAEC, the students will write mock there, then move to schools who don't teach anything, most of them bareIy have a laboratory then cheat to pass WAEC, that particular year that she implemented the rule, guess where she got backlash from, can you guess?
The masses, her policy was trying to save the masses and their schools, to encourage schools where cheating is not allowed to continue and thrive while that policy will discourage and close down mushroom schools, the masses turned on her, I think she was removed as commissioner and the masses celebrated it, you know the end product now?
Go to Benue and sample schools that are not miracle centres, you will struggle to find them from the length to the breadth of Benue, initially, miracle centres were a thing of mockery, today, it's the order of the day.
Tell me the fault is from politicians.

It's a bigger disappointment from you if after a lengthy discussion all you can understand is that I'm meant politicians can't be held accountable.
