I have just received the operational SITREP for Lebanese border offensive and things are not looking good.

Debating whether I should reveal it or not cos I have not read anything like it in my 22 years at IDF

Operational effectiveness is extremely low due to high casualty rates, unprecedented cases of disobedience of officers' orders, attempts of desertion and extremely low morale

Hezbollah operatives on the other hand are, in some cases, even better equipped compared to our special forces. Using new, never seen before IEDs. Organised and impossible to detect. In one case, they were using loudspeaker to mock our special forces holed in their position

Over 300 confirmed dead and injured IDF soldiers sustained over the past 48 hours. Hezb has launched several successful ambushes resulting in high fatalities, particularly within our Special Forces.

Morale has hit rock bottom with combat troops questioning and doubting command decisions and the viability of their mission. Around 1,400 soldiers unaccounted for (presumed to have fled the area).

I don't know what to believe any more.

If Israel is experiencing problems in Sputhern Lebanon, it does not come as a surprise.

Hezbollah is a very disciplined force. A diplomat once referred to them "as a state within a non-state.". To add to it, many of them have fighting experience in Syria.

If there's mutiny within the IDF, this also isn't a surprise. It's largely made up of conscripts and reservists, and not professional soldiers. Their loyalty to the army is more likely to be compromised. Fighting Hezbollah isn't easy picking like Hamas.

Hezbollah by bringing the fight into Northern Israel if true, is game changing. This is completely disorienting for Israel. Bibi has his hands very full now.
