Many people are so foolish that they fail to learn from history. There are some wars you may never win if care is not taken. Fubara should worry more about his re-election in 2027. I will advise him and his supporter to go and study very hard how Fayemi lost his re-election bid to Fayose, how Ambode could not be re-elected, how Amaechi could not influence the outcome of the election for his successor and how Obaseki was disgraced out of Edo. Now he is in exile. It is not the Local Government that should matter to Fubara because Obaseki, Amaechi and Fayemi also have all the LG chairmen with them but they still lost to the superior power of Federal government of Jonathan and now Tinubu.

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has cautioned River State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, from making “unfounded allegations” against him.

Daily Trust had reported how Fubara accused Egbetokun of working with his opponents, vowing to hold him accountable if there is break down of law and order in the state.

Fubara made the allegation after intervening in an incident at the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) office on Friday morning.

According to the governor, he prevented an alleged attempt by the police to remove materials meant for the upcoming local government elections.

Egbetokun, while reacting in a statement on Friday night by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said it was shocking to see Fubara storm the RSIEC office.

Even the Rivers State Governor ought to have sought the court to interpret its own order in this instance...
On a ordinary telling the NPF to not provide security or be involved in such an election given the political fights between a predecessor and successor ordinarily means there should be no election and the governor cannot sought out to use private security outfits in place of constituted ones.
