Also, I don’t want us to normalize going down against lesser opponents. While I agree it is the EPL, our approach to playing against weaker teams is beginning to bother me. We need to approach these games with a dominant mentality from the start. We are not going to be lucky each time. There is a way to rotate a team without totally messing the chemistry and flow of your play which isn’t what happened in the first. |

Roland17:The pattern of comebacks is the least we need. If that's the pattern, imagine how we'll fare vs early goal Brentford. We need to show the difference in class. Maybe we miss Odegaard. Our tackles has increased since his absence. Cali won't fare okay with a swift Lightfoot winger at this rate. But i love his passion for that attack. I hope we see Zinny get minutes this year. At least in cup games. |

Firstly we are blaming Arteta for not getting the players that was supposed to get us a backup player that will sustain the quality even when rotating. We expected Duberry to stay as Saka back up. O r we get a Bowen for Saka. We needed a forward and Saka deputy and another midfielder. But he went for a defender and to me all our defenders are almost out. He sees what he sees. White, timber, Tomi have been out. Cala was lucky not to be injured Imagine the defense crises Odegard out. G.jesus misfiring Saka being overplayed. But from financial standpoint maybe they needed to comply with FFP rules. We don't know. They know hence the sales of players . Like I said before for the Merino deal to drag until we sold Nketiah I knew we needed to sell to buy. Now sterling is not a bad buy based on experience and pedigree having worked with him before. Tomi is not fit. U guys should stop seeing a player just resume training last week to assume that he is fit. Clearly Arteta doesn't not trust a rookie into defence may be because of playing at the back. Let give him some.slack. Lots of players are getting injured. The medical team may have input in selection based on the current spate of players injury. For him.to put Partey at RB means Tomi wasn't fit but rushed that I can tell u. Sterling and G.J need to work.on the fitness and finishing. Rotation is key . Yes it dropped our quality but he can't take anymore injuries to our fist 11. It's not an excuse but a reality. Many coaches are beginning to voice tbis. Today Alison injured.. Thankfully we won. You can look st the cup half empty or half full. Learning the act to comebacks also important. My observations Partey can't play defence rotation. The international break came st the right time. Hopefully we don't loose any player. Partey and jorginho not a good midfield combination. Both are slow. Cala needs to improve his defensive game. G.J needs to be talked to. He is inhibiting our flow. |

On a lighter note, our players should just avoid complaining about the fixtures. Son and Rodri complained and now, both are out injured. Timber did the same and he couldn't finish that PSG game. ![]() |

Max Dowman with another impressive outing for the U18 against Birmingham. 2 goals/ 1 missed PK. It is his close control for me. Still long ways away but one to continue watching. |

mostob:Baba, even me I'm tired of him playing as a non-scoring striker. He's already going the way of Lacazette and needs to be shown the way out. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 12:17pm On Oct 07, 2024 |
mostob:The sense right now is that the Havertz injury situation is not one to be overly concerned about. He was fine to finish the game on Saturday. But he's played a lot of football recently, so it was thought best for him to stay, rest and just be monitored by Arsenal over the next few days. No risks. [Charles Watt] Something we should have done for Odegaard. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 12:20pm On Oct 07, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:Lacazette sha...man was so poor sotey we converted him to #10. Thank God he has got back his scoring boot in France. |

mostob:I don't think he's injured, instead I think Arteta wants to protect him. It's looking like he's vital to Arteta's game plan in the continued absence of Odegaard and We can't afford to lose him to injury during the international break like we did Odegaard. |

Stats can be funny sha. That, Onana is also competing for Golden glove awards when if you look at it, Raya has been the best premier league keeper this season. Not like am under rating him, but IMO, Raya has been exceptional throughout this season. |
