Who make them anointed, abi all this pastor wey be self anointed all of them are business and conmen, remove tithe and offering and any form of giving in the churches and see how it will die off cause most of them won't stand it they will automatically close and find alternatives to make money | to preach repentant and sinful wrong doings or even guiding people close to God's words this day in church's na wahala, all of them are focused not only on words that will bring prosperity and money but also those pastors in the church every Sunday and every other days all their minds body and soul is always focused at the time of giving offering and tithe, they just start church program normally as a formality but where their mind dey as the program is ongoing is at the point or time for offering and tithe, you won't know they will be using their mind and heart to be calculating the total offering and tithe (money) ongoing so far at that particular section and they will be happy cause in their mind business is growing and customers which are the church members are doing well lol 😆

Until people wise up this conmen will not stop but to keep business going on as usual.

Now that he has agreed he was wrong to collect all those tithes, is he going to start refunding everything? Afterall if there's anything these Pentecostal pastors are good at, it's keeping.meticulous records of everyone who has or hasn't paid tithes.

Pastor Adeboye take it easy. You're derailing so much.
1. Now you have christened Jesus Christ an evangelist just to defend your collection of tithes from your gullible members, where is it written?
2. The names and titles of Jesus Christ were all mentioned in the beginning from the prophets who prophesied His coming. He is a Messiah etc.
3. Tithe is not meant for present day pastors for the they're not Levites.
4. As a church member, yes, you can support your church financially but not with tithe.
5. You don't use force or putting fears into your members to pay tithe or any financial support.
6. Tithe is a law and Jesus Christ is faith.
7. If you're actually a Christ follower, you must do away with law for He is NOT law.
8. Tithe is meant for 5 categories of people viz:
i The Levites
ii The widows
iii The fatherless
iv The tither and his family
v The strangers.

Read: Deuteronomy 14 : 22 - end.

Tithing and first fruits are not for Christians but for the Jews.

Give any amount for God's work but don't call it Tithe nor first fruits!

If there's a project raise funds for it! Let it be free will offerings!

To me, i biliv in giving to Church, but not tithting, tithe has become, a tool for extortation in the hands of modern church leaders, claiming church growth and gospel mission, while the money is mainly for them and their family members, and the congregation would be strugling and grumbling to meet the targets. Its not compulsory that a certain man, to preach to all human beings in the world in his life time, they had been doing it before and stil be doing it long after you might have be forgoten that he came to world.

The only reason the tithe argument keeps raging is because pastors keep threatening believers that if they dont pay 10%, they'd be in trouble. This is a lie from the pit of hell that should never be propagated.

Pastors should bolden up and tell their members the truth about tithing being optional. If you want to pay 10%, that's fine. If you choose to give 20% or 50% or even 100%, that's also fine. If what you think you can afford at the time is 1% or 2% or 5%, that's also fine.

Possibly up to 95% of people who pay tithes today give it out of fear and compulsion, not necessarily out of love, and this is how so many people and churches have unknowingly missed their blessings. The day preachers start telling congregants the truth about tithing, that's the day the unrestricted blessings of giving will fall upon the church.

So Jesus and all his apostles and Disciples were world Evangelists who didn't need tithe and never asked for tithe but all our GOs and pastors have transmogrified to "parish" pastors and therefore needs tithe? They now have to go to the old testament to exhumed an over 5000years old law to enslave the Christian fold. Is GO and parish pastor in the Bible? Does this not mean the modern day tithe was crafted by the GOs and the pastors? Why do Christians have to be penalised for your administrative convenience?

They just don't know how to defend the age long scaming of the sheep God kept in their care.

1. Matthew 15: 24...Jesus was sent to the lost
sheep of the house of isreal.
2. Matthew 10: 5-6...Jesus instructed the
disciples to focus on isreal

Jesus wants you to be merciful, faithful and just and also to pay a tenth of what comes into your hand.

Jesus was never against the Jews paying tithe in their religion Judaism according to Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42
But in Christianity that he established which started in the book of Act of apostles, he never instituted tithe

Moreover, why gathering people in one place to pay tithe, why not do what Jesus did by revealing God to man and how man can make heaven without tithe

none of the above mention are priest. Paul is an evangelist just as Jesus. They both move from place to place to teach about God. Peter is a leader of the church but he is not a priest bc he is not a Levite. Timothy is also an evangelist just like Paul. Same with Philip. None of Jesus disciples are priests they are apostles.

I think, you don’t know who is a priest and who is an apostle. You are misunderstanding both. Priest are Levite. They are the only one qualified to receive tithes and preside over a temple. And must be ordained to become one.

Although, I still don’t know why it pastors this days are collecting tithes bc pastors and apostles are not priest.
