Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has raised serious concerns over the infiltration of Boko Haram insurgents into Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in the state, warning that the terrorists are using the camps as hideouts after carrying out attacks.

Speaking during the resettlement of 3,800 displaced individuals in Konduga Local Government Area, Zulum emphasized the growing security risks posed by insurgents blending in with displaced populations.

He urged the Nigerian Army and security forces to take immediate action to secure the camps and protect the vulnerable IDPs.

Zulum expressed frustration, saying, “We can’t tolerate this anymore. Boko Haram insurgents have infiltrated IDP camps, committing atrocities and perpetuating insecurity.”

He also expressed concerns over social issues in the camps, including reports of drug abuse and prostitution, particularly involving young girls, which he warned was undermining the state’s cultural values.

In response to the situation, Zulum announced plans to rebuild several communities, including Awulari village in Konduga, and to construct 500 housing units in Sandiya communities before the next rainy season.

He also provided financial and material assistance to returnees to help them re-establish their livelihoods while cautioning them against selling the resources provided.

People should know that every governor in any state that's harbouring insurgents are aware of their activities and the sponsors of the terrorist organisation.

No foreign body will enact any terror activities in a country like Nigeria and the government won't be aware or the state governors.

Oy vey, these Boko Haram terrorists are taking a page from Hamas and Hezbollah's playbook, using human shields like it's a game! After wreaking havoc, they run into civilian camps, stash their rockets, ammos, and hide behind innocents.

They're counting on you being too scared to strike, what with all the civilians around. And when you do, they cry genocide to the media, waving photos of the very people they exploited. Unfortunately, some misinformed liberals fall for their lies and propaganda.

Nigeria's government needs to wise up about who they're dealing with; it won't be a walk in the park. I doubt they(Nigeria) have the ability for precision targeting and minimizing collateral damage. These terrorists will keep exploiting this strategy until they've infested all of northern Nigeria, winning sympathy from the locals. It's like trying to get rid of a pesky bug in your home.

Just look at Hezbollah's stranglehold on Lebanon. Maybe soon madridguy, krismas, motoayinde and their ilk will be clamoring for Nigeria to grant these Terrorists their own Islamic state, just like with Hamas. And when Nigeria pushes back, they'll scream genocide. That's when you'll grasp the threat these Islamic terrorists pose, right in your own backyard!

The Boko Haram terrorists are mostly Kanuri while bandits terrorists are Fulanis, two tribes terrorising the country. After attacks they go to meet their relatives in the IDP Camps who will not report them to security agents and they will use the opportunity to indoctrinate others

Story story

North has a long way to come out of this mess. They caused it by accommodating just any person/ group of people in the name religion. Anyone who comes to North to settle must be well scrutinized by traditional rulers.

I don't know what our intelligence unit is doing to constantly keep this boko ministry running but am sure if the president relocate the head of that unit to NNPC, fuel scarcity will be no more..

Yet Hope Uzodinma wants to import them to Imo State. Hopefully citizens of Imo State won't buckle under the silly ambition of one man because once his tenure is up, Hope may not be in Imo state to witness the war. They should learn from Orji Uzo Kalu and Lokpanta saga.
