Iran has taken delivery of S-50O batteries.

Even the US stealth bombers are obsolete when it comes to the S-500 anti air system.

Also, most of Iranian missile silos are located deep inside the rugged mountainious regions where even nukes don't work. Mountains have a way of deflecting Nuke blasts.

Both sides are doling out calibrated response

Israel can take on Iran head on. However, when you have allies with interests in that region, you'll need to consult and calibrate the response such that it is proportionate. Think of the possible response from Iran and how to retaliate.

It is even the US that is calming down Israel for obvious reasons - elections are close and wouldn't want distraction. The far right govt in Israel won't mind hitting Iranian nuclear facilities but that would greatly escalate the crisis the US doesn't want. The US would want to choose targets it's most comfortable with.

Israel has strategic bombers with capabilities to strike deep into Iran.

What you dont know is ISRAEL processes ballistic missiles that can destroy many parts of IRAN with a nuclear warheads.but will choose not to ever do so because they are more rational than the senseless IRAN and it's radical leaders who just fires ballistic missiles indiscriminately at Israel.
Yes Israel might need the support of the US because of the distance between Israel and Iran to strike because they will use their fighter jets and need ariel reconnaissance and refueling which the US has a lot of capacity to do that.
Iran is a chicken technologically compared to ISRAELS array of defenses, missile and nuclear capabilities.
If Israel strikes Iran,s nuclear assets without carrying the US along,that could indirectly destroy it's relationship with the US

Israel being proactive and pursuing their goals with every resources and determination, you can be sure that Israel is doing everything in their power to achieve security.
