It's just about you determining the actual strength of teams using logic.
I am a COREN certified structural Engineer and we were taught strength of materials.
I actually try to incorporate strength of materials into my prediction of the strength of soccer teams.
There are so much more to consider as you keep studying.
You can never be perfect but you should always strive to be perfect.
