Starlink has been slow in Lagos for quite some time now. At least over the past week I’ve observed a very sharp drop in download speeds. Today is worse. Struggling to get 20 mbps download.

i would be happy if i got 20Mbps, just see image, for like 2 weeks now
i have to wait till late midnight to use it
during the day, i have had to switch to MTN, cos its practically unusable; especially for video calls

This is serious.

The inflation in the country is the issue. They will likely NOT bring their price down and rather pull out of the country, if forced to. They are in the business of providing service and being able to make profit. If they (Or any other business) will incur a loss by providing that service they will likely cease providing the service.

Starlink Network speed has been terrible lately especially in the evening here in Abuja. I mean what the h*ll will I do with 2.5mbps?

Obviously I am not alone with the terrible speed

My experience with this Airtel unlimited plan on 5G router is that it is manageable but not reliable. Network is down in the afternoon, on a week day, restarted router but I keep getting "Sign in to Airtel network" message.

Exactly Airtel Unlimited is not Stable at all expecially now that they have more customers the network has been on and off sometimes very slow and terrible in the Night

It's usually good at nights. Right now, it's slowly creeping back to those disastrous speeds.

Hello all, anyone have an update with the starlink roaming plan,starlink says no new user is allowed for now except old users can continue on the plan for 167,500.

It is unlimited. According to some reports, one said he experienced a throttled speed a bit after crossing 1TB...but as far as it concerned, it is truly unlimited. You still dey browse dey go.

Is there an MTN alternative for this?

I have been experiencing very poor network from starlink since last weekend.
I wanna ask if I'm the only one or it's a general problem, cos it's never been this bad.

PS. I'm on the roam unlimited subscription

Not close, in that it is capped. MTN stingy die now...the same 20k that is unlimited on Airtel, for MTN is capped at 150gig...then when you exhaust it, you will be given 5 gig daily (no rollovers) for 30 days. So, comparison no dey at all.

MTN which is meant to lead the pack is the one behind. It is behind in innovation now...who thought Airtel will offer something like that.They just need a bit of a push and they will take over ISP in Nigeria.

Perhaps your location. I have been enjoying mine since I bought it. And speed is very much okay. All I do is to locate a sweet spot in my house and it is done. Good all through the day. Try to find it in your house, unexpected places.

I have full reception I'm in contact with them to find out what's causing the issue cus it doesn't make sense at all

Try 4g only and reboot from the router page, but change location. I suggest the window, but let it face outside. Also, it is already on 4g only, change to 5g nsa/4g, and repeat the process...if it persists, contact them on X, and they will work on it.

I have one spot in my kitchen with full reception...full bars with green light that does not produce a byte to browse....whereas a place with 2 bars with blue light gives 18mbps. That's it.

Boss i have tried everything still not having a good network the issue started around August till date i just dey manage i can't even play online games cus ping dey shoot 200 to 300ms

Same here in surulere Lagos. Starlink is offline.
I experienced something like this around may this year but it was around 2am in the midnight and it took 20 minutes before Starlink resolved it. It was world wide then not sure about this time around
