What you should be worrying about is proof of funds. Cos that Canada you mentioned, you'll need a minimum amount of 25m. And that money must be captured in your account when you submit your 6 months bank statement to them.

Once you can scale that hurdle, you'll definitely get the student visa.
Who told you it's six months? More like 6 weeks or even less. There's no institution that asks for 6 months bank statement, that's ridiculous.

Age is no barrier to education. You’re still very young at 32. People get degrees late in their 60s and 70s. In 30 years from now you’ll be 62. That’s how young you are. Know the requirements of the country you want to get into, the requirements for a student visa, then the university. Do not, I repeat, do not give your money to ANYONE who says they can help you. You will get scammed. The internet is free, research research research. Once you get admission, look for grants and scholarships that can help you cushion your expenses. Ensure you’re studying a degree in the STEM field otherwise employment will be difficult. As soon as you get admitted begin to look for companies that sponsor work visas for international students. Do not wait until your final year. Calculate the amount you will need for the 4 years you’ll spend in school, feeding and accommodation. Above all else, work hard when you get there like you’ve never worked before. Begin to network with the HR of your prospective company you’re interested in. LinkedIn is the best for this. Build your resume and try to get as many internships as possible. Partake in community service etc.

I went off tangent a bit but you get the point. I wish you the best, Godspeed.
Not the OP but God bless you.

You don't actually need to explain anything, as long as you can pass the exams(S.A.T, A.C.T, G.R.E and such likes) you're good to go, the worst case scenario would be to start from some community college and move up to a 4-year university afterwards. The trouble here is that 32 years old and not even a bachelors degree is usually indicative of something, unless the reason is economics(which is very unlikely in this case, afterall, if he was able to get the money to set-up his "japa" then he would certainly have had the money to go to a Nigeria university).
For British universities
you actually have to explain

I had a six year study and work gap when I came schooling in bittain and back then, I was asked to explain grin cheesy

just like many that I know

It seems all the scholarships are directed towards PhD candidates. Highest I have seen for non doctoral degrees is application waiver and a grant of maybe $3,000-$5,000.That's what I've seen so far for USA.
As a policy, all PhD programs in developed countries including places like Brazil and Thailand are fully funded via tuition waiver with a stipend or a full scholarship. The most competitive scholarships, which are very few, tend to be at undergraduate levels since most universities make a lot of money, especially from foreigners, from that level. At master's level, highly lucrative courses tend to have fewer scholarships since it is believed that the ROI after graduation is very high. No one should expect a scholarship in AI or Robotics at master's level except the person is part of the 1% of academic achievers.

Very possible. But relevant work experience, especially cognate, is mandatory. Fourteen years after graduation means the person should be in her late 30s or early 40s.

Hello, Yes you can, Age is not a barrier to education. Studies can take place at any age. I did my MSc degree at the age of 44 from a Uk university. I can assist you on your university admission and also give you some advise.

It's not difficult BUT you must READ!

Get your materials, have a study structure and keep at it.

If you start NOW, you should be adequately prepared for WASSCE PC 2 next year.

PC 2 for this year is starting this month.

Sorry, but anytime I see people who want to pursue a master's in Accounting, I take it to be that they are ignorant or want to be in academia (very few people are in this group). You need to write ICAN/ACCA, then to ascend/diversify the career ladder or increase your earnings, you can move to CFA/CAIA or maybe an MBA (I find it worthless these days, I don't know why. I might be ignorant on this).

If it is a means to japa, well, you still need to do ICAN/ACCA as credits might be transferrable to the country of destination. But aside from academia, you really don't need a master's. And sorry, there are very few scholarships at that level of graduate studies because it is very easy to get a job after graduation (after certification).

Sorry for my words, that is how I am. I write anything that comes to my head. lipsrsealed

Universities in Japan request for that duration. I think language schools even ask for a year or two.

To qualify for USA's accounting licensing exam, CPA, one has to have undergone 150 credit hours of studies. A typical accounting BSc is only 120 credit hours, making one to have a deficit of 30 credit hours.
Some go to community colleges after Bachelors, while most go for Masters in Accounting just to meet the 150 credit hours.

The credit hours can also be gotten by doing an MBA with a major in Accounting. But this is a very wrong and unintelligent way to use an MBA.

ICAN/ACCA doesn't count towards the CPA in the US.

For someone that wants to:
1. Japa through study route.
2. Meet the required credit hours and get the CPA license.
Masters in Accounting remains the best option, though I stand to be corrected.

If you talk about PhD in accounting then, you'll be right as there's no much use of a doctoral degree in Accounting outside academia.

Thanks for your response.

Until recently, bachelor programs in accounting lasted for five years with the final year offering CPA courses and writing the exam.
