Hello everyone, nice to join the group. I have my B.Eng in EE (1.6 CGPA) and I’m looking to apply for my MSC in EE in the US for Jan or Aug intake next year. I’m looking for recommendations for any schools that will accept my cgpa and possibly that offers free application fees. I’ll welcome any suggestions necessary.

Direct masters might be a very difficult path like you have been advised earlier. If I was in your situation I would be searching for Post-graduate diploma before masters.

1. You have 12 - months to respond to the embassy demands, in which, they will throw away your VISA application into the trash can, if you failed to respond.

2. If you have responded within the stated period, and have supplied the embassy with their demands, then, you have to wait till after 90 -days (Lagos post) before you can contact the US embassy about the update. For Abuja location (post), you must wait till after 60- days before you reach out to the embassy for the update.

PS: Your VISA decision can arrive in the next few hours or next week, etc , but you must not contact the embassy after submitting the required demands, until the aforementioned periods, respectively.

They sometimes replied with generic emails, other times they ask for extra information. I finally got my visa

I just stated the truth here and replied with what I know and experienced but you resolved to calling me an advocate of whatever. Yes of course people can apply for PhD after BSc, and they will do well in graduate school. I have a lot of people doing this and those that already did this and finished their PhDs. Stop misinforming people and speak on what you know of Mr.

Oh wow, I wasn't going to go through this lane but I think you have met your match today. You are really trying to label me a scammer? On what basis? On the basis of replying to what I know of or experienced? Did I ask the guy to contact me or something? Did I solicit for any fund from anyone? Oh yes, I live in America and, I went there in January of 2022 for my PhD after completing my MS in Moscow, Russia in June of 2021 and waiting for the US embassy to finish processing my visa application for about 4 months because my course of study in Russia falls under the TAL list (which I doubt you know about because you are just a bloody agent). It is not a crime to be a student and keep renewing your visa until you are done with school (PhD or whatever) and find a job that will help you with adjustment of status (H1B etc).

I didnt even post that I was trying to renew my visa because I am not, you dont even know me and you are just assuming, you dont even know if I have an approval for my EB1 or EB2 NIW or whatever, because again you are just a BLOODY AGENT and nobody in your family has done a PhD before. Yes, when I have my own child I will ask him to choose graduate school scholarship in the US/UK/CANADA over any state scholarship in Nigeria, even the Federal government scholarships because I did the same myself. I abandoned a state sponsored MS scholarship in Nigeria to go to Russia and it turned out to be my best decision ever, when you have your own child, tell him to go do PhD in University of Maiduguri.

I doubt you know how many BEA scholars are lamenting because your federal goverment refused to pay their allowances. Again you wont know because you are just a BLOODY AGENT.

That was my post in 2021 about the AP when I was trying to get my F1 visa to come for my PhD. I am not a subnormal like you said. Stay and rot in Nigeria. But stop misinforming people. Get a life. You are not the gold standard for the US consulate.

Again everyone seeing this thread. Please be inspired!. In case you have very good grades, you do not need an MS degree to apply for PhD in the USA. You can get admitted for PhD straight from your BSc, provided that you can prove to the admission committee why they should trust you with their Assistantship. Do not let this "Abule Egba US consular" misinform you.
Go to the universities website to find all the information that you need.
