soft copies are great.
hard copies are also very helpful.

My 2 cents, try to gather all government issued ID about yourself.
You might need it for citisenship application.

No need to rush about TFN . you are still not a tax resident of australia.
Do the application when you make the final move.
Besides when are you meant to activate your visa? you have 1 year to enter australia if not the visa is invalid,,right?

Medicare ranks highest when you land in asutralia compared to TFN . my 2 cents again.
Cosa if you catch a cold , you pay through your pocket for treatment.
You can geta job wihotut TFN, and get tax rebate after you get your TFN.
Is medicare in Australia not free? I read it is free

Free?
You pay for medicare from your income. it is so low that is negligible.
Not free.
and if your income is above 97k AUD annually gross, you will private insurance or pay additional Medicare levy.

Please what's the job situation like in Australia? Are survival jobs easy to come by? At least for a start
Re: Living In Australia/life As An Australian Immigrant by Wrap46: 11:28pm On Sep 23, 2024
I think so, depending on the kind of visa you have

There are jobs everywhere as long as you ain’t lazy. And depending on the pathway you came in with but but not withstanding there is always a way out.

My wife just delivered twins in Logan hospital and it was totally free she didn’t pay a dime though she had Medicare and she didn’t use a private hospital.
Congratulations!

You could say there was no out of pocket expense but Medicare is NOT free. It's 2% of your income unless you are claiming an exemption.
The Medicare levy is an amount you pay in addition to the tax you pay on your taxable income.

If you are paying for something, then it's NOT free.

After weeks of anticipation to enjoy Amala and Efo at this event, we arrived only to find it was all gone! Does anyone have a good recommendation for Amala and Efo in Perth?

Hi..
I plan on moving to Australia by next year and preparation has started in earnest

What route do you think I can use to go..
I am 21 years old, with an ND Cert which I would substitute for even certificate lower than that if necessary,I don't want to further here in Nigeria..
I am a professional video editor, cybersecurity analyst (Cloud Sec) in training tho, I play the piano professionally as well, I am a graphic designer and have little idea on web design, have a little knowledge on AI analysis, I know little about Sound Engineering as well...
I can go on and on with my skills so please what other route can I go through if not student route?
Any help please 🙏

All the occupations you mentioned here require a bachelors degree to be able to assess successfully. ND will not get you across with any of these occupations, not even HND

Nothing has changed for accountants. PR chance is slim.
Has anything changed for accountants since then, I am thinking of relocating to Australia as an accountant.
