Don't be in a hurry to reapply. If am not wrong, I believe you are applying with an associate degree. If that is the case, it's a red flag and you may get a refusal again.

Is the school a community college? If it is, don't reapply. Not to be negative but the chances of a Nigerian applicant getting an F1 visa with it is almost nonexistent. Change your school to a 4-year college.
Check old threads and you will find that majority of those who went to the embassy with community college I20 were denied.

Home ties is also a factor, but you have to sort the school first then revisit your home times. One thing at a time.

Pls any help on this I bought my visa fee at first bank, but I did not get to log in on the new website after 1 month I log in I input the deposit number and date of purchase, but it says given payment number does not exit
on my vis fee receipt, I bout it on sept 27 2024 n expired sep 30 2024, how can I go about it

Both. It displays pending appointment request on the dashboard and when you click on it, it displays pre approval request is being processed

I am writing this because I am so mad and sad at how much the US and other countries take advantage of us with no one to turn to a report to.

For context, I paid for my MRV on August 30th, and throughout September, I was in the pending pre-approval stage. Finally, on Sept 30th, I an email that my pre approval was rejected; before this, I had never even scheduled a date, and I had been calling and emailing the support line with no help, clearly they don't know what is going on. I had been getting played like a ping pong.

When I got the rejection, I called again, and someone told me to try again and to even try again with the same payment, which I tried to do. I entered pre-approval processing again, and I started waiting. Now, I see a pending appointment request on my dashboard, and when I click it, it just shows me that I need to pay the MRV fee again, lol.

I called again, and one agent told me to keep waiting. Finally, another told me that it meant the embassy rejected my pre-approval, and I needed to pay another fee and apply again, essentially gambling that maybe they would accept my pre-approval because I don't even know why I was rejected, so if I paid again, what's to say I won't make the same mistake again.

Anyway, I thought I would vent here in case someone else Is looking for some closure or is facing something similar; it's insane because there is no one to report to. This is essentially theft; these people are robbing us.

So even if your visa is fully printed, IOS will not contact you to get it.

The document handling is currently a mess. OiS will not inform you to pick up. And I think you are being given outdated information.

Make selection, scroll down, click on the "DhL pickup...." Click on book appointment, enter your details select a date two days ahead otherwise you will pay....just use your intuition from there, they will generate a pdf for you.

I already uploaded my i20 the first time. So i don't know why

Okay. I think it all depends on where you are in the application process. My payment seems to have been successful.

Before you pay another fee, ensure you contact the technical agents via the "click to talk" option on AVIT website. I hope that helps a bit.

that sucks, sorry about that. Did you finally get an interview for Abuja? Also, if it is a us card, you can try to contact your bank.

Paid in Lagos the August 30 or thereabout too. You’re doing nothing wrong. It was when they didn’t answer us and after I got “pre approval request rejected” that I went ahead to pay 2 MRV fee again (F-1 and F-2) for Abuja . Paid with a US credit card tho, and avit deducted 3 payments cuz the first one bounced, so the person I sent my card details to did it again, and then pay the 3rd one for F-2.. till now avit say I can’t get refund, and the payment I made in Lagos too, I logged in, they say I should pay again..where did the payment goes ? Lol I just have to forget about Lagos and move on. If you have another money, pay a new MRV, choose Abuja, and go ahead with your interview

I have contacted them, but avit don’t seem to understand what’s goin on.

Could you please share with me how you switched to Abuja because Lagos is still showing me Preapproval request is being processed". I paid on September 9 visa fee and I don't have problem with payment though. By the way, mine is renewal, and I guess yours is renewal as well because I read your previous post.

How long did the process take in Abuja

To be honest, i need this date urgently. Thanks.
