this may not be a proper analogy

my generator was 4 years old. when i put it on lpg, it was burning oil, and a cylinder would not last 10 hours. now with a new engine, it is not burning oil and a cylinder is going for like 18 hours plus.

i suspect the real issue is that so many cars have already been fked by mechanics with multiple tolerances adjusted. the conventional wisdom was change your car every 4 years, not because of age per se, but because the more mecanic touch am, the more fked the engine is. that may be the root issue, tweaking an already fked car engine
The majority of vehicles on naija road are second hand vehicles which were either accidented in the original country of use. Most Tokuno vehicles have check engine light on which means that whether u like it or not something is already wrong somewhere .

Like I said earlier , the best thing is to wait for a period of time to see testimony of the first set of people that convert their vehicles to CNG. If it’s positive then one can also follow suit but if it’s otherwise , u will be grateful u waited things out.

Things are damn expensive now and it’s not worth risking the health of ur vehicle . Well, that’s my opinion sha

For every driverless, buttonless, engineless car adopted, you have displaced a driver, mechanic, auto technician which will have a ripple effect of an auto parts seller and so on.

The way some of their foot soldiers cap on twitter , u would be wondering if Tinubu gave them a blank cheque they normally cash out anytime they push out propaganda .

There’s this guy pastor okezie or whatever his name is ; looking at that guy u can see he’s not even doing better than the people he’s trolling online for not supporting Tinubu’s anti-people’s policy.

When u look at the guy’s shop where he sells building materials and even the church he pastors , u can tell he’s not winning at all. But somehow the guy will just keep defending rubbish all in the name of being a party man. I just Dey wonder wetin Dey work people like that
I have blocked the guy 4 long cos he lacks objectivity....he is just in for whatever BATs dishes...

I also blocked d other yellow guy that got married to her mum's age... mm

Their takes they always increase my anger

lol, what a flimsy reason?

So because of fear of loss of job, we shouldn't embrace advanced techs and robotics

What a myopic thinking 🤔

Didn't you learn about adaptation in ecology?

Another reason could be the CNG itself.

Maybe it has adverse effects on engines on the long run.

Maybe that is why car manufacturers still stick to Petrol, despite its rising cost.

Maybe, maybe, maybe
any technology is competing against already established technology with significant investment

it is why gsm took off much faster in nigeria than in the us

it is why debit cards are far less popular in the us than credit cards

electric cars have actually been around since the late 1800s.

in the same way, the petrol subsidy led to situations unique to nigeria

go and look for 10kva petrol generator outside nigeria. you wont find.

The countries you are wishing we be, how many of them are in poverty? What are the figures of unemployment level there?

Over 100 million of your people are in poverty. More than 50% are unemployed, but you want to adapt. Adapt to wetin, abeg?

Na those wey dey trust Dangote i dey laugh. ( OasisX suppose dey front row dey collect cane cheesy ) Dangote will always prioritize his profit margin over anything. The only good thing about the refinery is that we will finally be able to know our daily fuel consumption as a nation as Dangote has implemented a metering system to track their deliveries.

Tbh i don't know why Kyari is still NNPCL GCEO. The failure to even get the PH refinery working after like 5 different announcement is enough for sack not to talk of the corruption in that organization.

Your last paragraph, i thought i read it few days ago that Dangote refinery is free to sell fuel to any marketer that want to buy, NNPC is no longer the sole buyer from Dangote. Let IPMAN go and deal with Dangote directly.
IPMAN says their money is with NNPC.
They paid for product but nnpc said there's a new price so they have to pay the differential first 😂😂😂😂

Outside Nigeria, they do not have power issues, so why should generators be very popular?

I'm saying it is very possible that CNG has its limitations, that is why auto manufacturers are not even jumping deep into it.

The Petrol cars that are dead here are over 20 years old. Let us see how long one can flog a CNG car, without changing engines first, before we can conclude

Its crazy mehn. every single thing is expensive, nothing is left out. To buy something to eat now na war. You no even fit say you dey hungry make you quickly enter buka chop again because things are expensive, i can't even blame them, na wetin them buy them go sell.

I've never been angry and disappointed in a politician as i am of Tinubu. the pontification that subsidy removal is bla bla bla and hope is bla bla bla just dey annoy me anytime i hear ham. Ok fine you've removed subsidy, is the common sense thing to do not to speed up whatever plan they have to rejig the economy? The only good thing i have seen this government do is the school loan. Every other thing is rice and rice as if rice is the only problem we have in the country.

I expected him to have sack most of his cabinet members by now. Carry incompetent people full almost all the ministry, apart from maybe the minister of interior, foreign affairs and health, the rest i no know wetin them dey do. Even Wale Edun has been overwhelming as Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the economy. Maybe they need to bring someone else in or another person to support him.

Those of us out of jobs na only through God we dey survive, those that are employed sef are loosing their jobs at an alarming rate as business close down. If say i no vote for Tinubu, he for no dey pain me the way it's paining me. Na shame no dey make me come here frequently again sef.
Show face.
Na vote you vote, you no kill person.

This is why I avoid interstate road trip at all cost.

It appears as though the FG and security agencies have conceded highways to robbers, bandits, kidnappers and unknown gunmen. If you travel long distance by road and u come back safely, it's just by stroke of luck without witnessing any kidnapping incident or being a victim urself.

But if u talk, APC people will say security situation has improved from when Boko Haram was controling some LGA's in the northeast. Now u are not even safe in the south . embarassed

But why can’t Dangote just come out and say “ I will be selling PMS at N750 to IPMAN o” and let everybody know that’s the price he’s selling , wwatch out for the selling price from IPMAN and let’s all know that subsidy is gone completely ?

The funny thing is NNPC is still interested in importation of PMS. The whole thing is just crazy . Today Dangote will be at loggerheads with NNPC fighting them for misrepresenting facts and the next tomorrow Dangote is guarding the price he sold to them like it’s a national security secret.

Continuing to keep Kyari as NNPC GMD is an indictment on Tinubu and it shows he’s not ready to solve any problem in the oil and gas sector . There’s no justification whatsoever for Kyari to still be the GMD.

I’m annoyed that for 8 years of Buhari we kept hearing the PHC refinery will soon be up and running . Tinubu is nearing 2 years anniversary and it’s still same story . I can bet with 100% confidence that if the refinery is sold , the private investors will do a TAM and the refinery will be working within the timeline set for its re-opening . The staff will even be absorbed by the new management , just that they will now be made to work for every Naira they earn and not the old way of getting paid doing absolutely nothing .
Dangote knows what he is doing, NNPC and IPMAN also know what they are doing.

Na the masses them dey play

Forget the insult part , this guy raised a very valid question.

Since CNG as a fuel is cheap worldwide , why are car manufacturers not mass producing it ?

Even as India large population big reach , 13% of the vehicles sold in 2023 are CNG powered .
Or maybe those call seller can start importing CNG cars also. I doubt average Nigerians can afford to buy new cars produced in Nigeria without any financing structures.

FG say make people convert to CNG as its cheaper but it cost from around 950k upward for the conversion kit.

Come be like say na whine them dey whine us

Also i think they are intentionally keeping the price of dollar/Naira as it is because they are trying to use it to meet the revenue shortfalls in Naira.

If the price of dollar goes down, so should the price of fuel and every other thing that's affected directly or indirectly by the dollar but they will rather allow crippling inflation, erode people purchasing power and dump even more people into poverty just to meet up with revenue in Naira that we don't even know what they are doing with it.

What a penkelemesi.
