Just talking anyhow. The rules are clear in the church's constitution known as the Mandate. Even Papa Oyedepo, having reached the age of 70 years, will exit the scene as the overall head. He will be in a supervisory role. Adeboye did same in Redeemed some years back. Many pastors who headed regional offices of the church like Titus Olayemi Oludairo have retired since.

The leadership is now tenured.
Oga they are still very well the heads stop misleading the public, all they do is just to change position nothing more abi is Daddy Adeboye not the one heading redeem again?

Lemme summarize d gibberish u wrote here. He has brought in his son too, and probably grooming him. So u see, it's family. I just hope he gives them( the two Bishops) a befitting parting gifts

I do not expect you to understand, but I will try to explain. You can choose to throw what I have said away, fine. But I will say it.

This is the first set of generational change in Winners. The present crop of young ministers are in their 40s. It makes a lot of sense to still have the old guard (who are between 63 years and 70 years) to still be in the background providing guidance. If there is a misstep anywhere, there is room for correction. Someone like Bishop Abioye has been there from the beginning: since 1981. FORTY-FOUR YEARS. For goodness sake, do you want them still preaching at 90 years like Bishop Frederick KC Price, or at 80 years like Charles Stanley?

Many of the vice presidents of Living Faith, the ones in charge of local missions, foreign missions, WSF, etc, are all at the retirement age or close to it. By making the leadership now a maximum of 14 years in tenure, those who take over the leaders who are currently in their 40s, will be close to 58 (if not already at 58) by the time 14 years is over. Then a new set takes over. That is how you put a system in place to avoid the kind of succession chaos that almost took over Benson Idahosa's church, Synagogue when TB Joshua died, and SBJ Oschoffa's Celestial church when he died in 1985.

Look at the secular world where you have leaders like Paul Biya who is 90 years. No plan for succession. If he goes, who takes over? Who provides guidance to the younger rulers?

Look at Dangote. He is now 67 years. He has realized age is no longer on his side. He has brought in his daughter and she is now part of the team. He is still there providing guidance. When he is out of the scene totally, she would have found her feet totally.

True leaders put in place proper succession structures so there is no chaos when they are gone. Winners has a clearly spelt out process in the constitution of the church, THE MANDATE.

Sadly, many so-called members of the church have never even read it.

pastor retire ? , how.. why... heaven is full ? or the struggle has been accomplished....
Are you new to the world? Roman Catholic and Anglican bishops and priests have always retired at somepoint. Assemblies of God and Foursquare Gospel Church also have such for their leadership. Heaven is not getting filled by pastors and bishops only, so even on retirement or as non pastors we wake up daily to make heaven full.

Pastors retires in Catholic, Anglican and other Orthodox churches. After founder Bishop Oyedepo, everyone will have retirement dates.
If the book called MANDATE Is reviseable then what makes you think that David Oyedepo Jr would not make himself permanent Presiding Bishop when his father is gone ?

Have been a winner before 90% of the present pastors were ordained. Na pure Business format

To think you went ahead to even call those who believe God is involve there mumu... Shows your level of ignorance, foolishness and mental disorder.

You need help.
lol
If you could call a house built in your presence by mere men a house of god, how then wouldn't you call a book written by mere men in your absence a word of god. No need to talk further.

are you high? Oyedepo should retire from church he founded? You think oyedepo and adeboye is same thing? It's not adeboye founded rccg oooo, na pa ekundayomi be founder but na oyedepo founder of winners church. Tomorrow oyedepo have full right to do anything on that church but in real sense, adeboye don't have such right but at the same time he have that right to do anyhow in rccg

Hmmmmm, it's not right for them to retire from the work of God since it's not a secular work, they might open their own church in future since they are still active.

You are sitting on a very long thing. His son, David Oyedepo jr, is currently being groomed to take over. He even preaches in one of the Sunday services at Ota.
And you think Pst David Oyedepo Jnr is capable of holding the church now, right? I hope and pray that its God that truly asked them to resign, if not you will exodus of Pastors into Abioye's Church, if he decided to open one.

Thanks for this Clarification.
Adonko:
what you forget is this is church hence a spiritual matter.. If you are truly a winner you will know better that Bishop cannot Just get up and take decisions... He hears from God before doing anything.

A case is when he said he saw a need in Japan as he was coming back that they need to cite a church there and was already drawing the map and was rebuked by the holy ghost.. "that even though there is a need there you are not the one am sending".

Oyedepo is not just an ordinary everyday man... He is a spiritual man deeply rooted.

Oga put on ya thinking cap...
Japan is not and will never be a fertile ground for LFC.

in Japan, they live 99.99% of the Christ likeness as in the Bible even tho they aren't Christians.

You can't operate the Mafiaso style of gaming millions into your family business using extreme loyalists with zero succession hope..

This is the same thing somebody was saying .
Twoclans:
Congratulations Bishop David Abioye,I was invited to living faith Kaduna so many years ago and he was the person preaching that day.He is a fantastic orator and honestly he is someone who will make you want to worship God.

But then again,so that ministry cannot be handed over to him because he is not blood abi.LFF should just hope he doesn't open his own ministry because he will split their congregation.

Wishing you the very best .Congratulations.

are you serious?
Appletek:
Let me tell you something, I knew about you this more than 10 years ago.
So, I was privy to see the Trustee Documents of LFC and in that document, Oyedepo, Mama and David Jr. were listed as Trustees. Abioye was also listed but David Jr. was higher than the Abioye. Aremu wasn't posted at all.
When I saw it, I smiled and shook my head.

We all know what we are doing. All of us.

My Brother, if you are Christian, you will not be angry and threatenedme with death as punishment. Ask yourself, which do you believe, Mandate or Bible?

All those you have listed above succeeded not because they mopped the church floor but by grit and determination to succeed. Because for every 4 members you listed above , there are thousands of other members who couldn't make it pass 20k a month 'achievement' who not invested sweat and blood but all of themselves.

Brother continue to worship man.
Long time ago, I have conditioned myself to listen to men to comprehend and audit their motive.

I will never condem you for your stand, please don't threaten me with 'Perish' again. Peace.
Devil is the master of threat.

Same oyedepo Jr who is running his own separate church with a separate name?
[b]I was in that church between 1995 and 2018.

I left when I discovered the scams going on underground in the Church.

Many of the Pastors knew the scams and they joined in "let me take mine" syndrome.

There is no corruption you see in any Ministry of Government in Nigeria that is not happening in the conglomerates called Church.

Baba dey scam many like myself till I saw the truth. Dem don use people head well.

David Junior is the 1st child and 1st Son of the Family.

David has always been a gentle child growing up. More Calm, Calculated and steady.

So, it became clear to his younger brother Isaac that he would live in the shadow of his elder brother (the heir).

I was not surprised Isaac left to start his ministry. He has been daring from childhood.

While David Jnr is a conformist who will take whatever his parents offers, his younger brother is not o.

He asks for the type of Car he wants to drop him in school even as a 5 -year old child.

Isaac grew up to be someone who does not shy away from asserting himself.

ISAAC CAN NOT LIVE IN THE SHADOW OF HIS ELDER BROTHER. THAT IS WHY HE WENT TO START A MINISTRY IN HIS OWN NAME.

Note that DOMI means David Oyedepo Ministry Incorportated. David Junior still fits into that 100%.

Anyway, It is a business conglomerate.

Isaac will not need to suffer much to build his ministry, he has shares in the mother Company.

We are talking billions of Naira and Millions of Dollars.

The black race will remain mumu forever.
