Mariangeles:And that's okay too. Also remember, not everyone borrowed money to move. Get skilled, be a person of value, and you'll have companies here fall over themselves to bring you over for free. |

Samguine:Why are you guys so stubborn as regards this minimum wage matter The 70k is basic. The total is 110k. FG has started paying it ditto some states.Drivers in my company have started earning 110k. I know that for sure. Security persons in Nigeria live in their own houses and drive their own car with having to pay mortgages forever. Not everybody stays in Lagos. Life where I am is calm and easy. I drive to office in 9-10 minutes and can do 100km/h along the way to tell you it's not close. Samguine:@bolded What kind of question is that Everybody does not stay in Lagos. Yet where does agbero harass anyone for driving ![]() People still travel by flight. The aviation industry is experiencing challenges as a result of forex and subsidy removal. It will be sorted. Samguine:Look, more people use bicycles in UK than cars. A far larger number even trek. These are facts I know. Like I said earlier, I enjoy 24 hours power and don't even have a generator. Also, stop looking at people's salary. Nigerians NEVER rely on their salary!!! Samguine:Credit-based my foot. Here, we buy things outright and have peace of mind. Yet security guards still live in their own houses and buy cars. We are not vacation people. That's why people like you took vacation to japa level. On a good day, you should only be in the UK for vacation. Samguine:Cut this credit crap abeg! Nobody regards anyone who buys anything on credit here. You only have a real testimony if you purchased anything outright. Samguine:Hey! You guys pack drugs(paracetamol, septrin, flygyl etc) from here to abroad like crazy whenever you are in town. Also, reverse medical tourism is now the order of the day as medicare is far cheaper here than abroad. Healthcare here is fair. I just returned from a government hospital. I took 2 of my children to see a doctor. I spent less than 1k - card and test inclusive. The drug prescription I got cannot cost up to 2k. Samguine:You are stuck! And you are suffering from Stockholm's syndrome. ![]() |

samintegrity:Nonsense @bolded I would rather use an older car that is mine with peace of mind than be tied down by stupid debts. We enjoy several government policies here. It's just that people are not even aware they exist. |

There's too much lies and hurt from people opposing the op information here. I won't be responding to any of you guys again. Someone said he would rather use an older model of a car what a fat big lie. Who enjoyed a corolla 2003 when he can get a 2020 model of the said car.. Pls stop all this nonsense lies, you just can't afford it simply put. Funny enough, just say you don't have the financial resources to fund your japa, simple. And if you are doing well here that's not a ground to belittle those abroad, by far they are doing great. Pls I will unfollow this thread as it's making me mad with some very annoying comments from some individuals here.. |

diamond68:An inflation where their is good governance is bearable. Hardship reach Uk but food are relatively cheap cos Govt subsidize it Your one day wage fit buy you food that will last weeks depending on how you eat, Am not saying life is all rosy abroad buh basics are relatively affordable, food, clothing, and transport are cheap for any worker We are talking "Basics" here, default standard of living, not your taste not your definition of standard. |

WHAT YOU COOKED THE OTHER TIME IS BASMATI, IT'S AN ARABIAN RICE THOUGH ANYONE CAN EAT IT, IT HAS A SORDID SMALELL AND VERY LIGHT IN THE MOUTH.......... ITS GOOD ALSO, BUT YOU HAVE TO WASH IT PROPERLY BEFORE COOKING AND WHILE COOKING. |

borie4u:I work 45 hrs and my wife work 45hrs.. There are area in UK where rents are cheap and this are off city center. And we are in winter already although i don't have to explain to you. You could believe or not believe. House rent dont increase by winter or summer. If you have a pay as you go on gas then it will increase but if u negotiate with the gas people when setting ur account let them know u are a student working on part time.. Thats what i did and they reduced my fee and its static irrespective of what i use Take a look at the pix..... The second one is 3 bedroom... I could take 2 bedroom and look for a single student that will pay 200 per month...

galserv:The drivers in your company is earning 110k. Great. How many drivers earn that amount monthly? Now, consider the cost of food all across the nation. One pack of spaghetti is 1k. A crate of eggs is almost 6k. Even someone who earns above 200k is complaining. Things are bad in Nigeria bro. Go outside. From Lagos to Maiduguri. Do you know a tuber of yam is cheaper here than it is in Nigeria? Here, with 10 pounds, (less than the minimum wage), you can stock up food that will last you for a week. These are the issues. galserv:Omo!! In this same Nigeria? galserv:The issue I have with what you are saying is the fact that everything you've been saying is "me, me, me, me, me". You are just one out of 200m people. How are others surviving? Do you go to the market? Are people happy? Are Nigerians happy? Remove the focus from yourself for a minute and imagine the pains of millions of Nigerians. galserv:I lived in Lagos bro. I experience these. The aviation industry is experiencing issues because people cannot afford to fly, mostly. Lagos to Abuja, one-way flight, is about 100k. I flew from London to Nuremberg for 28 Euros. That is about 55k. Can't you see the difference ![]() ![]() galserv:You should not be bragging about 24-hour light in 2024. You don't get it?? Electricity is not a big deal here. Nobody celebrates 24 hours of light here. It is a constant k. That is the level we want Nigeria to get to. Nigerians never rely on their salaries, maybe because it is never enough? You can live well on your salary here, whether you are a carer washing bum bum, a security, or the CEO of an organization. If you plan enough, you salary is enough to sustain you and live a good life. galserv:Again, read up on credit-based systems. It is not a bad thing. Also, know that not everyone automatically qualifies for credit. You have to be creditworthy. On a good day, I want to be in a country that works. And we need Nigeria to work for not just people like you, but for everyone. We are not vacation people? Simply because we can't afford it . How would you know the value of a thing if you have not experienced it? Security guards live in their own houses and buy cars, in Nigeria? Do you mean Dangote's security or that man that guards the banks and asks you for 100 Naira to feed when you go to deposit money? galserv:Again, read up about credit-based systems. Whether you purchased It outright, or with credit, it is yours. galserv:Again, look away from yourself. You are just one out of a million people. You probably have access to insurance. How many Nigerians can afford insurance? How many communities in Nigeria have access to the government hospital you have access to? In the case of an emergency, you Nigerians access an ambulance? You need to understand how the medical/health system here works. You do not just have access to random drugs. People bring drugs because it is not easy to buy drugs here. The system is regulated to prevent abuse of drugs. A report says that some strains of malaria are now resistant to some antibiotics we use in Nigeria because of abuse. Is that okay? galserv:No bro. I have spent about 9 months here, since that time: - No blink in my electricity. For 9 months. I do not even think about electricity again. It is a constant k for us here - I have never heard of fuel scarcity or seen a fuel queue. - Food is cheap. If I work for 3 hours, I can buy food that we last me for a month. I want Nigerians to have this same privilege - I applied for a Schengen visa after two months here. I got it. Access to over 20 countries. I am not sure I will even get an interview date in Nigeria. Moving to the UK has changed my life Bro and I wish every Nigerian will experience the change in life I have too. If anyone does not fancy japa and wants to stay in Nigeria, that's okay too. That means we have to ensure Nigeria works for everyone. There is no way you will experience abroad and think we are doing well in Nigeria. No way! |

Samguine:Bro pls I beg you don't respond to him again, please. Who in their right sense compares Nigeria to the UK? Pls who? A kg of gas now is around #1800, a litre of Petrol in most filling station is around #1250. Light that he claims to enjoy 24/7, pls ask him how many areas in Nigeria enjoys that? Maybe 5% of the entire land mass Pls, don't just reply him. Most people like him are just pained they don't have the resources to travel out, I assure you if he does he won't be around. |

omonla10:Okay. You missed the point. The point is, you yourself don't have to work 12 hour shifts, work smart. It took me 1 to achieve mine. Did yeye jobs for 3 months, got a skill, and my license. Don't waste your time dude. I dont compare, and anybody can make it anywhere. But in the US you are sitting on world market with over 300 million human, market. The GDP of California alone, is bigger than UK GDP...a state in America is richer than the UK Google it yourself. Most world billionaires are Americans. Google it yourself Again, bro, don't waste your time on shifts, learn a skill ASAP. |

OChimex:Bro u stating the obvious. We all know americas money and carlifornia. But does that mean ure richer than all my friends in UK. My cousin earns way less than my salary doing same job in that same America. This is the first time in my life I would collect salary. Life is in stages bro. No one is wasting time on shifts, I'm on training as well, maybe u missed wen I stated it. Everyone can't live in America and robotic engineers here still do shifts even the general manager and operation managers do shifts. |

omonla10:No wahala my guy. But don't quote me wrong. I did not say I am rich neither did I say that I am richer than anybody, nor that people in America are richer. I gave those stats because of what you said previously and my reason for that is letting you know, there are way more opportunities in America than anywhere else in the world. But then anybody can make it anywhere or fail anywhere. But my advise is, find a job that pays on commission, that way, your salary is not capped. And you can make so much just in a month/day/hour..... |
