This still looks shocking to me.

Going out in the morning, and see a parent given his 3 children, 2000 Naira going to school today. This is shocking.

Coming up in the early 2000s, in secondary school, our money no pass 20/30 or 50 Naira .. if you get 100naira, you be big boy.

Imagine primary school pupils 1,000 per day... Omo na wa o

For secondary school na 50 bucks popsy dey give me for transport fare.

During break, I go just buy Limca or Goldspot N30, groundnut N10, and one triangle-shaped meatpie N10. Pour the groundnut inside the Limca and you'll get maximum satisfaction.

After school, I go trek come back house.

Children of these days are just Akamu. You'll see them flying bike for a distance that is not up to a kilometre. Indomie children for a reason!

Parents that can afford 1k - 2k daily for their kids are rich sha. Many parents now find it difficult to even provide breakfast let alone lunch or money to feed in the afternoon.

I'm in the office right now and what I keep thinking is how to get a loan to buy foodstuffs. We're 3 but things are so expensive that salary can't even buy something that will last us for a month.

May God help us ni

What? Many parents now finds it difficult to even transport their children to school let alone give them feeding money. Even school bus shuttle services have been discontinued by many families except the exceptionally rich families. People can even afford Square meals let alone having money for frivolity

Why not use that money and prepare food. Package it for them and get snacks like biscuit or buns for them. Things are hard, we all should go back to our drawing table and map out a survival plan biko

parents should learn to cook and give their kids for school. It's cheaper that way. I cook enough stew to last for a week for rice and spaghetti. I buy two dozens each of biscuits and happy hour drink for my son to take to school. Before it finishes, I'll buy another dozens. I don't give my son money despite the fact he's always asking for it to buy something in school because he sees his peers doing it. That's how it should be

This topic is a very emotional one.

What baffles me is insensitive folks who support this government and cast aspersions on those who doesn't.
