A Nigerian woman has raised an alarm, alleging that passengers on a GIG Motors bus traveling from Port Harcourt to Abuja were kidnapped, with only the driver returning with the bus.

She shared this claim on her page via the social media platform.

According to her post, the incident occurred several hours ago, and as of now, none of the passengers who were on the bus have been contacted or located.

At the time of this report, GIG Motors has not released an official statement to confirm or deny the claims made by the woman.

A video accompanying the post shows a confrontation between a woman and some GIG Motors staff, accusing them of withholding information about the driver and the missing passengers.

Those traveling agencies could be having dealings with kidnap syndicates. No one can be trusted in this present day Nigeria. Criminality is on the high side these days vis a vis the excruciating economy of this callous government.

They were mostly luxury buses. Times have changed and smaller businesses are now being preferred for such long-distance travels. Luxury buses are terribly slow and are often used for night journeys. There's no room for armed security men in minibuses.

Yes luxury buses used to have armed escorts or guards. I know because I travelled in them in the early 1990's and there were armed guards.

My own surprise is that the practice has stopped...is that really true, in this condition of insecurity?

This video was made at a GIGM terminal.

What part of their route did the kidnapping occur? This will help narrow down whatever transpired.

Who told the lady that the driver returned since she was saying they're not doing anything?

What if the vehicle got bad along the way or God forbid has been involved in an accident along the way?

If you check now , the kidnapping occured somewhere between Imo and Anambra and was carried out by IPOB criminals but here they are blaming Federal Govt for their own criminality

This is the same thing I was telling a nairalander here who was believing the nonsense that was spilling out that Ribadu's mouth.. just few days ago I tried to correct the nairalanders. There was never a time when buses used to travel with armed guards, it was only luxury buses travelling in the night that used to have one armed escort

I was scammed here too. The guy pretended to be a phone seller. I paid him tfare and some transfer, tell me say the phone dey transit. Following day he tell me say, police stop the bus and search and say they see Yahoo stuff for the phone and cease it. Say even the driver dey station.....

Don't just transact with anyone here, if you don't know them wella... Scammers plenty like water here... Na gun Dem go shoot am last last.. because that money na part of my savings
