Money brings out the worst in people, if you truly want to know a man, transact business with him and he will shed his skin. |

If he made a will it should be followed to the letter...does the law give room for alteration of ones will after his/her death...they should allow his children enjoy the labour of their father hope Herbert created a trust before he died. |

iwaeda:And OP informed us that the said will had been deposited at the probate. OP needs to tell us how the will can be bypassed, with the likes of Sanusi Lamido, Dangote, SANs, etc, his friends still alive. |

The Crafty problem with many Nigerians is that they no longer honour Will. The best thing is to physically share all your properties to whosoever you desire and do a physical transfer of Deed while you are still alive. Lawyers can no longer be trusted. |

[quote author=AirwavesReport post=132407593]Herbert Wigwe's Legacy at Risk: Family Infighting Overshadows Mourning Period What is the source of this information please? It is common knowledge that Herbert and Aig have their assets in a Family Office called TenGen. It therefore beats the imagination why there would be a Will as a transfer device when there is a more tax efficient vehicle. Even if there were to be a will, it is more likely to be a pour over will which merely transfers assets not included in TenGen to the vehicle. If TenGen is the vehicle then the appropriate fora for contesting Herberts dispositions would be the Federal High Court Lagos and not the probate registry. I am somewhat shocked at this because Herbert is a highly sophisticated banker and the idea of leaving his assets in a public register like the Probate division is extremely baffling. For this reason, I am inclined to disbelieve this report in the absence of a credible source. |

kettykin:They will say that the siblings are "lazy" or that he doesn't owe them anything. Meanwhile he will buy a Maitama or Banana Island apartment for one of his many mistresses for over a billion Naira, and open an easy as piss forex deal window for another mistress that would earn her over $2m within a year. People need to be wise. But I guess they would never be. To each and their own. |

ogaemma:Leaving a will is a mistake because it can be contested and subject to all forms of useless litigation. Trust is the better way to go because it can not be contested. |

SocialJustice:Does trust exist in Nigeria? It is no longer funny if this story is true. Didn't leave will, family issues over your property crops up. You finally leave one, and it can be contested or even changed completely behind the original recepient back |
