Tanzania has launched Eastern Africa's 1st electric train with State-of-the-art train transports 1,400 passengers from coastal city of Dar es Salaam to Morogoro on its maiden journey, covering 300-kilometer distance

With plans for the second segment nearly complete, Türkiye-based company Yapi Merkezi, responsible for four of the five sections of Tanzania's extensive railway construction project spanning over 1,000 kilometers, has successfully finished the first segment.

The electric train, a project worth nearly $2 billion, is seen as an immense boost to domestic connectivity, trade and economic opportunities with neighboring landlocked countries like Uganda and Rwanda

Just when the world is moving towards green innovative tech and electric vehicles with zero emissions. Nigeria is just building refinery. In 15_20yrs perhaps electric cars will be far advance and improve on, gas and its related eviromental polluting cars like diesel or fuel will be obsolete.

Why always late Nigeria?

No matter the level of evil or corruption being perpetuated by Nigerian politicians\leaders, there will always be a Nigerian supporting them, unfortunately, this same Nigerian will be dragging front seat, sandwiched between the driver, another Nigerian in front seat of mini-buses that don't even have space and be loaded like olden days sardine.

Use your head and stop being a fool, politicians don’t care about me and you.

Let’s be kind to one another and share updates.

Don't mind these online wailing wailers. The Lagos train is much advanced. It's also running on electricity. Instead of the electricity to come from top cables they are built into the tracks.

There’s nothing Giant about the current Nigeria

That was old glory. Nigeria has since lost that status.

I laugh when Nigerians who haven’t travelled to small African countries still call Nigeria giant of Africa and celebrate little things like flyover that smaller African countries have long advanced past.
