I wish they can take us back...... Because, this problem started when Nigerians gathered to enthroned a dullard and dethrone a learned sitting president because they were tired and needed a change .. From that day till today, it's been sorrow upon sorrow. |

Tribalism proved to be the biggest enemy of the Nigerian people. People are no more protesting because they have chosen to support whosoever that is in power, irrespective of his bad policies, as long as he is from their ethnic group. Its more like "smiling while suffering", just to ensure that their tribal leaders in power are not removed or humiliated. They have also managed to build up a groundswell of opposition against those from other areas trying to challenge the terrible leadership of their tribal tin gods. This they do by also going back to all sorts of tribal arguments. It's now a "we versus them" mentality. So the corrupt presidency contineously gets away with murder. Easily. |

End result of voting in leaders and allowing our leaders to run an economy based on oil and oil alone. When oil crashed in 2014 , that should have been the chance to run some sane economics. Apc had a chance to change the paradigm. They failed.Instead they borrowed to keep the facade up. Even the changes they are making now are because there isn't enough money to hide the cracks. Anyway, we shall see. Right now, the mess is too great.. |

JASONjnr:no one human being wishes going back in life but the case of Nigeria is nothing but going back in life is the better off. oneMalik:that you could comfortably type this shows how heartless you are, people like you are our major problem in Nigeria followed by bad governance (are you happy now? getting blamed for Nigeria situation.) you mean to say those companies folding up or leaving Nigeria are likewise lazy? so do startups collapsing are lazy? if I may ask, what do you do for a living? sure you aren't one of those sitting right in front of a government office table expecting something at the end of the month then calling the real fighters lazy? |

The more you run an economy based on oil , the more issues and problems it begats. Oil is a curse. |
| Re: What Are The Prices Of These Commodities Today? by oneMalik: 8:19am On Oct 15, 2024 |
70% of the problems we face today is caused by the citizens ( laziness) not the govt....thou the govt may be useless and that's the total reflection of the citizens cos out of 200m people. we've selected few as leaders to show the kind of people we are. Nothing will change until we start thinking. |

We had the same issues back in the 1970s when there was oil boom , and then from 1983 when oil price crash led to Nigerians eating from dustbin and japa commencing back then. What we see today has been seen before |

oneMalik:Not true, govt is our major problem. When they fix things, everything gets back to normal by just simply putting the right regulatory body to regulate the affair's of the economy and ensuring they carry out their duties rightfully. And we can achieve 80% good results |
| Re: What Are The Prices Of These Commodities Today? by nairalanda1(m): 8:23am On Oct 15, 2024 |
Tinubu is committed to running an economy based on how much more oil money we can make and share. No fighting corruption , no diversification, no loans for things like railways and so. Even subsidy removal was because there was no more money to loot and share. Oil is a curse |
