I greet you specially my Ogas.

Plz is it wise to accept a Honda Accord EOD for weekly rental?

I've not driven for long now, someone said he wants to give me his EOD for weekly renting. Considering the current situation of things with the e-hailing business and based on your experience as currently active drivers, should I even accept the car at all?
and what should be the term of agreement and weekly remittance?
Someone should answer this my Oga question abeg

Most people are still driving for bolt just to survive BECUS their minds has already been programmed to be slaves. They are too lazy to seek for other opportunities to better their lives. Now aboki people come full the hustle with Yaris car... This hustle should be side hustle not wasting ur time from morning till night. Some drivers even sleep in their car over the night till day break just to meet up target and chop promo bonus.. modern day enslavement..

This your account you just created July 30 2024 is just to troll drivers.

Let me share you just little of my personal life experience. I used to have a lucrative business years ago (I won't mention the name of the business) that particular business sponsored me throughout university, was paying my rent and supporting family members for years.

After University, I closed down the business and decided to take up 9am - 6pm job. The job was taking care of bills and all. But I have to wake up 4am everyday and by 5am, I'm already on the road to Awoyaya that's where my office is.

I stay on the mainland (Alagbado) precisely. I did this work for about 8yrs. I had to resign to venture into Ehailing. Now, I have been doing Ehailing for over a year. I won't say is the best after sliced bread. But, I can manage my time and how much I make weekly.

So basically, we all can't be in an office or shop. Ehailing is service rendering in the transportation sector and is a big business.

Why is it that only majority of people in Lagos state driving for bolt always assail my posthuh
I will not argue with you yet. Do you know what?? Leave that your comfort zone. Relocate to Edo state, Benin city and continue driving for bolt constantly without thinking for other alternative to survive. only then you will understand what I have been dishing out lately... Hope you ain't Imperceptive huh You can see other people are also complaining..

Come,
Are you daft? Or you're just pretending to be?
You read the title of the thread and can clearly see that it's made for Lagos ehailing drivers and partners, you can also see that most people that share their knowledge and experiences here are primarily Lagos based drivers also. Drivers from other parts of the country usually come here to share their peculiar experiences to Lagos experience, which is normal. Abuja people have their own group. You can also create one for Benin based drivers so you can have people of like minds and experiences to wail with.

You've been speaking unsolicited grammar here for some time and I can't really understand the root cause of your anger and outburst with people that share their experiences from driving in Lagos. Is it that they're lying? Or what exactly is your problem?

Even if you think that Pearl1910 is lying, will you also say that Omoapena and others who shared their daily earnings were also lying?

If your advice is specifically for drivers in Edo, PH and other states. Then specify it in your various post. The situation in other states is completely different from Lagos.

I also understand that people in Abuja have device a different model for this business and it's paying them.

Lastly, I can't relocate to Edo State unless I see something better than what I do presently.

I do travel to Edo, Delta and other Southern states.

I don't believe in complaining about a situation. I believe every situation, no matter how ugly can be used to our advantage.

I want to share a experience. I got my present car about 4 years ago, everywhere was soft . I use to have a neighbor then ,lost his job and we were close .he asked to use my car for bolt then but I was skeptical of that, Later he got a car to hustle with, mind not his. There was change in his life ,at least he started handling his bill's little and little without begging, became more cheerful cos he was now engaged instead of being idle at home and detoriarating over Time. To cut the lojg story short it was not like he was earning the world but at least he could use that to get back on his feet . I will conclude the story later just trying to reply to honorable Jackson ...my concluding story will be personal make I rest Small.

Good, here is mine.
Mine, I have Cooperate Job that earns me 150k net monthly, I resume 9a.m and close 5:30pm.

I leave home 6a.m to run a atleast 3 trips before 9.am and 3more trips after closing hour. I only go half day on weekends.
I have a savings of 10k daily from all trips into my wife's abandoned UBA acct and 5k daily for vehicle maintenance into my access bank acct. The remaining amnt I earn for covers miscellaneous spendings and fuel purchases.

Half of my salary at the end of the month goes into my local cooperative acct till when I would need to pull it out Big. and other half for my child major expenses. Bolt and Indrive rides covers my every day expenses.

My wife works and we both put resources together.
If I am to resign today and do bolt and indrive full time, I will hit 150k net in 5days.

See guys, whatever your hands find you doing, just do it well. Leave all these negative words you read from here, not to compare, but you are living a better life that few of your counterparts.
Just pick the little advice and knowledge, then move on.

You are not here for trolls or downgrade anyone's means of survival. This group is to share knowledge and answers to everyone's relatable question.

If I decide to stop working or driving today, my wife's alone salary will cater for the family but I am the man. I have to put enough effort. That's why I can be very petty atimes when it comes to money.

Do it anyhow it works for you.
No one is coming to save you.
You won't be at the mercies of frnds, relatives or online give aways for ever.
God help us all.

I can relate with your MO, that's how I started. In 2017, I was making my monthly salary in 2weeks of just driving after work and weekends. Then I thought to myself so if I sleep all day and drive only in d evening on week days and all day weekends for just two weeks, I have made the same amount I suffer myself all day for 4weeks?. Meaning if I dedicate my whole day to suffer on ehailing, I will make four times my salary. The decision to resign and enter ehailing fulltime was not hard to make at all. And I haven't regretted it ever since. As a salary earner, I deduct transport and fuel money from my salary. But when I started ehailing, transport was not in my budget again. So I made even more money. I still lived my life as if I was earning my salary and all extras went into savings. I was buying 1 additional car every year couple with building projects and other business establishments.
When I entered this thread and all I saw was complains, mediocrity and oven lighting discussions. I was like no, this narrative has to change. How can u have a goldmine and not recognize it. Reason why I don't keep quiet o, and many people see me as an enemy. I know I have changed mindsets and Influenced alot of people positively and I will still be here to motivate and encourage. It's left for people to choose what they want to believe. All I have said, the same people that say it's a lie, will secretly go and try and see it is possible and be enjoying it silently and will not come and tell the people they discouraged what they are enjoying.

So to every newbie here, before u follow person, ask am where him dey come from and where him dey go. Don't follow people and forget ur own circumstances and where u are coming from. They will tell u, u r driving like headless chicken around Lagos, they will say u are slaving from sun rise to sun set, they will say u are carrying olosho from hotel to night club, they will come ones in a while and peep to ask "una still dey drive?" Don't pay an ounce of attention to them, focus and face ur front... Do what u have to do to make d benjamins. Most of them are either begging for children's school fees, house rent or food.
From this work, people have turned landlord, from this work people have paid their tuition abroad, from this hussle people have sponsored their family japa, from this work people have become multiple car owners, from this work people have raised capital to set themselves up in their dream business and careers. Don't let people with no future ambition derail u.
Cheers to all the people putting in the grind consistently.
