EFCC Raids Enugu Radio Station, Detains Presenters, Seizes Equipment, SECURITYNEWSNG.COM reports.

In a shocking move, Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed Urban 94.5FM, a popular radio station in Enugu State, yesterday evening, halting a live broadcast and detaining presenters. The raid, which occurred around 6 pm on Monday, also resulted in the seizure of equipment worth millions.

According to reports, broadcaster Favour Ekoh was forcefully removed from a live program, causing significant disruption and raising concerns about press freedom. The radio station's management expressed shock, stating that the EFCC had not provided any official explanation for the raid, staff detention, or equipment seizure.

Shut up! You’ve already assumed the federal agency is ‘blameless and above reproach’! Hopefully, one day you or one of your immediate family will be subjected to EFCC and their oppressive antics!

Criminals are always fighting to cover up their crimes. Unfortunately, you can only deceive some people sometimes but you can never deceive all the people all the times.

What happened? What is the motive? Was the program promoting financial crime or shielding a financial criminal? Did EFCC invite the station management and they refused? Or was a yahoo-boy on the live show? Government agencies' mode of operations should get better, not the other way round.

I think this people should add decency to their modus operandis . .They should not turn this nation to banana republic. Why not wait till the presenter fininsh his program before they picked him up .. Inability to manage authority is equal to lawlessness. Whether they army or police or whatever they should do things with modicum of civility

angry

The law states that EFCC is involved in financal crimes, not in media monitoring

Besides that, we live in a democracy where the right to freedom of speech is guaranteed

Plus do you have a copy of the warrant that Efcc used to arrest the guy?

Don;t support bad thing because it favours your side.

Stupid idiot. That's how you people make dictators of these criminals in power. You raid a place with no warrant, arrest people and take away equipment and here you are uttering rubbish.
If a crime has been committed you present a warrant for arrest. That's how it's done in a normal setting.
Anyways what would you know about anything normal?
