Just as usual, stereotype riddled with ignorance banking only on what the media shows to you as the north! Traveling is also part of education! Not every part of the north is boiling like the media portrays it!

The bags packed on the ground beside the trailer truck is a sack containing shear butter seeds extracted from the Shear butter fruits from the Shear butter trees here. This bags are being shipped to other regions of the country for processing as raw materials to be converted to other finished goods and commodities ( I heard it's used for producing oils) I don't know the type though, maybe turkey oil or controller oil as it's commonly called here or something else.

I needed to upload more images but it's not longer responding.

Maize is here, groundnut is here, millet is here, guinea corn is here, yam Is here, white beans and soybeans will soon be out too by November and early December!

Everyone deserves right to eat and be alive! Food should be very much available and affordable regardless of what excuse for everybody!

I'm on the firm believe that what is the basis of survival such as food should not be an object of debate.

Right! Transportation cost has always been the 'fall guy'

It really do masks the greed of these traders.
But you forget the standard of living already high in the south, as such that even the good produced in the south is also costly.

can you imaginehuh Even the things produced there is also costly? Is the government also going to be blamed for this too? And funny as I see, many down the south presume this exorbitant prices of things is the general norm everywhere. Too bad

Now let's not look at the soil and start planting what you can in respect of where you are presently in nigeria, it will still yield mu h harvest. But the problem is not many people are ready to learn farming, and that is why you end up buying it expensive when you can actually do it your self

Car is actually a luxury in Nigeria the recent fuel hike and people parking their cars proves it. But trying going without food for a day or two let see.

It really do masks the greed of these traders.
Other than transportation, there are host of other associated cost along the highway, numerous check points manned by various security agencies, numerous revenue agencies of different states along the route with the very high cost of diesel, different middle men before it gets to the final consumer.
