Lagos has always been an economic hub. Attributing the success of Lagos to Tinubu is the highest form of revisionism of history. Lagos was created by Benin empire, nurtured and named by Portuguese, developed by the British colonial government and became a real economic hub during the military rule when oil companies headquarters were relocated to Lagos from niger delta in 1969. The military continued with developments in Lagos until civilians.
Tinubu could not manage his first nation airlines.
Na hatred for tinubu go finish all u people.

What was Lagos internal revenue pre-tinubu era.

Or are u blind to the development witness in the transportation sector, health sector, education sector to mention a few.

Peter Obi that said he will remove subsidy didn't he tells you his plans before removing it if elected?
Go and listen to him very well, you are part of those people that always mislead Nigerians.
Here is the video of Peter Obi saying he would remove subsidy on DAY ONE of his presidency.

He was even shouting that how can we be spending 7 trillion naira annually in subsidy while spending only 3.2 trillion combined on Health and Education!

He was screaming that the whole thing was a scam, and that he wouldn't hesitate to remove it the same day he entered office as president!

Stop lying obi said he will remove subsidy the very first day.

Peter as governor of Anambra was not in any way different from ikpeazu.

The same governor who refused to pay minimum wage when there was surplus in Nigeria then.

The same governor who refused to conduct lga election 7 yrs and refused to released lga allocation.

Poverty double during his tenure as governor in Anambra.

A governor with no idea on how to move the state forward instead saving the state money in his private bank.

So you support the continued borrowing of 10 billion dollars a year to pay for fuel subsidies?

Do you know what Nigeria's annual budget is?

It's roughly 35 billion dollars for a country of 240 million people.

South Africa's annual budget is 120 billion dollars for a 50 million population.

The USA? 9 TRILLION dollars for a population of 320 million people.

UK, 2 TRILLION dollars for 60 million people

FRANCE, 1.8 TRILLION dollars.

NIGERIA earning a miserable 35 billion dollars a year, while using 10 billion dollars a year to pay fuel subsidies, and maybe 15 billion dollars on recurrent expenditure and debt repayments....HOW DO YOU GROW?

Just tell me.

Where is the MONEY that you will use to grow your economy? Build infrastructure etc? Better education, health etc?
let us understand who brought us here. It was the politicians who looted and rather than invest. The politicians who looted and are still looting are asking the masses to make sacrifices for the good of the country. It's an absolute arrogant and heartless thing to do to the masses.

Senate president is asking us to eat wherever we see food meanwhile he and his colleagues have feeding budget that can feed the whole primary schools in Nigeria.

Make it make sense!!!!

All this is past tense.

Don’t expect Nigerian politicians to not enjoy the perks of office.

It is what it is.

That’s our way.

If they put you there you will also accept the enjoyment without complaining.

You people are only saints and angels when you are not in power yourselves.

With all this your grammar if they make you even an LGA chairman, nobody will see you on Nairaland again.

You will become a big man, handling big money. Making big deals that will earn you billions, forgetting all the holier-than-thou grammar you are speaking here now.

The Number 1 issue facing Nigeria is the need to continue diversification away from oil, because the oil income is a pittance for our huge population.

Even if the politicians drink garri for lunch and ride okada to work, that our national income or budget of 35 billion dollars will still not be anywhere near enough to develop the country.

It therefore means Nigeria cannot develop, because only a selfless, holier than thou leader, who can transmute that quality to his cabinet and other elected officials can really make significant progress, if NIGERIA can't get such a leader ,am sorry nothing will change.

You'll see that at the end of the day TINUBU policies will only make marginal difference if at all

it's not in the past. Our politicians are still speeding money as if tomorrow no dey and are busy awarding white elephant projects instead of investing in the people and taking advantage of our huge population. See, if we can get half of our population to pay 10,000 monthly as tax, that's like 1trn for the government to do its duties. But no, rather than do what is expected, they're throwing away funds
