Bishop Thomas Aremu has stated that he has no plan to open his own church following his retirement from the Living Faith Church.

IDOMA TELEVISION recalls that Bishop Aremu and David Abioye recently bowed out of office in line with the guidelines of the Mandate, the operational manual of the Living Faith Church, globally known as Winners Chapel.

Speaking during his valedictory service in Bashorun, Ibadan, on Monday, the cleric insisted that despite his retirement, he will not open his own church.

Earlier, the President and founder of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, commended Bishop Aremu for his steadfastness and service in God’s vineyard.

We should be thankful to God "for churches springing up everywhere"... Imagine what Nigeria would have become without the restraining effect/impact of the church. Unimaginable. Thank God for Jesus Christ that saved and reformed folks like us.

Vacancy now open for Oyedepo's son to take the place of the retired bishops. You don't need any holy spirit to tell you the reason behind the forceful retirement of the bishops.

It's quite weird for a pastor to retire from a church.

I will advice Pastor Adeboye to also define the succession plan for RCCG, else the implosion that will come on redeem when he is gone will be second to none

religion is pure evil itself

When presidents finish their tenures, they remain senior citizens. If the Pastor is said according to the church's constitution or mandate which was accepted by everyone of them in the leadership back then, if he chooses to be a floor member of the church, so be it. He'll become a member of Elders ' forum in the church and be mentoring the upcoming ones.

Who leaves a selling brand to go open an unknown brand and struggle till eternity to build it when you can just "Franchise" the thing? Smart move.

One other thing I have realized is that Nigerian parents are beginning to take a cue from China in raising kids instead of sending them to a Sunday school.
