If your car is moving well on a free road and jerks in traffic. Check your coils, one of them is dead and causing misfires.

It smokes when when not moving but, it doesn't smoke when moving.

Is it possible to ring one side that is affected cox, one of the plug side isn't responding, when remove coil and nozzle, it didn't give any sign, like make the engine to be unstable but others are responding fine.

So, the mechanic said that particular side is bad and they need to check the valve or piston.

Also, the plug at that spot always get soaked in oil.

But, the engine sound and performance is very good when driving, I was actually doing above 120km/h till I got home and no sign at all, just that it doesn't accelerate on time when I slow down but once it picked, the movement is smooth.

Yes u can ring one or two pistons that's affected. But if one is affected it's just a matter of weeks or months and the others will give way too. Especially if it's not a private car that is used once in a while. So it's better you do everything at once. But this should be d last resort after confirming the problem isn't from the plug, coil or injector.

I've taken it to 3 mechanics now and they all said the same thing, one side is bad but they all advised to ring the whole engine.

How much will it cost me roughly to ring it...

The last time I ringed my engine when it was shorting oil. I spent about 250k or so.....and it has not short oil since then. It was last year b4 the election

I just called the mechanic and he said the ring alone is 40k(Briscoe) and he will charge 200k to fix the corolla because he will also fix the block(I don't know what that means)

I can't believe I'm ringing this car under 2years use...

And, I do service it every month.

Secondly, for all the good things people say about Corollas, based on past experiences, it is my view that the engine handles abuse poorly.

I always buy my oil from filling station, I don't know about the filter tho but I buy oil from filling station and I change oil at every 4000km, i don't even let it exceed 4000km.

Please when your mileage has gotten to 2500...Drop your oil for the sake of your engine.

Yuko 0W-20 Oil is a good alternative to Mobil 0W-20.

Get this Vic filter..It's good as well.

Do this and your engine will serve you very well.

Yes, it's good for 5000km or 3000 miles if the vehicle is used privately.

Since it's used for ehaling, 4000km is fair.

I might reduce the camry to 2000km like this coz I can't afford to ring another engine under 2years

You can never go wrong with changing oil frequently.

The oil should be able go longer than that.

2500km is just 1500 miles. The oil can certainly go longer.
