Rebuke:
Gosh! Recently, I have been reading alot of terrifying stuffs about this CNG thing, especially converting a vehicle that was not originally built for it.

Some scary reasons it will not be ideal for anyone converting their cars to CNG in Nigeria:

1. Bad Roads: considering how bad our roads are, having a car loaded with cylinder filled with gas and running into potholes every now and then can be disastrous.

2. Hot weather: Sometimes, we experience unusual hot weather here in this part of the world. Most countries have good weather conditions than we do here. I think driving under a very hot weather can have some negative impact.

3. Unprofessional approach: we all know Nigerians and our funny ways of doing things, those converting vehicles can just wake up from the bad side of their bed one day and fix things wrongly that can lead yhu to yhur early grave.

Question: how many of our politicians are currently using CNG vehicles? Please do well to quote me with the name of such politician, if yhu know any.

My conclusion: personally, I would rather buy fuel at N1,300 per litre than using a car loaded with plenty filled cylinders with gas.

Don't offer me death as alternative to cheaper means of transportation.

Please note, this is my own personal view and conviction. I can not come and come and kill myself grin grin cheesy

No, I no gree abeg.
Spot on nigga

You should have made findings before doing video...
You rushed to post video of the event and you are asking the eyes witness of what really happened.
Are you not stupid?

It is well...
As much as I sympathize with the affected ones, I also hope they did not breach any of the supposed guidelines...some drivers forget to switch off their vehicle engine, make calls etc while the pump is ignited, all these are prone to danger

May God continue to protect us from tragedies....ase edumare

is a lie of the devil. Shem on those satanic souls who posted this story and bigger shame on the NAIRALAND MODERATOR who pushed it to front page.

CNG cylinder can NEVER (write that down) explode and cause such damage.

It is one of the least explosive gases. It is lighter than air and does not apply so much pressure when stored in a cylinder.

It disperses very fast when released into the air hence the sort of explosions here could not have been as a result of it.

It shall not be well with you enemies of Nigeria who always rush to post evil and negative things, just to sour the atmosphere because your sick and incompetent candidates lost!

Shame on you all.

CNG is PMS. simple safety procedures, people won't adhere to. See the result.

Petrol cabal fighting back.

The old, rickety car in that image probably has its own peculiar problem that caused that problem. It might have nothing to do with the CNG itself.

In any casw, diesel, petrol, and most especially electric vehicles do catch fire/explode from time to time.

Electric cars even catch fire on their own several hours after they are parked.

That has not stopped people from buying those vehicles.
Don’t mind those satanic CHILDREN OF HATE & their Nairaland MOD enablers!

100% it was not the CNG that caused that explosion. It is not like LPG. It is. Very light gas which far less pressure than normal cooking gas.

Shame on those who look for every fake news just to discredit Nigeria. When Nigeria attains progress, they will not be there to witness it. If they are alive to witness it, may the joy, peace and progress never be their portion but the opposite.

Are asking you to convert your vehicles to CNG and you think it's because they love you so much? 😂 you think if CNG was the best they'll even let you have access to it? Think! Mumu.

When you are ready for the truth, you will see it online - via other more reliable sources, that do not thrive on the evil news that CHILDREN OF HATE spread all over the place, in their desperation to have one back at Nigeria just because their unfit for purpose candidate lost an election he was never prepared to win in the first place!

Guy, just pray one doesn't explode close to you causing you injuries, Nigerians are not ripe for CNG, we lack maintenance culture, our people are way too careless and expect God to help them think after he has already blessed us with brains to think for ourselves.

This is not about cabal fighting back, this is about common sense and safety, what safety training has the Government done for educating the citizens about the use and safety of CNG? NONE.

We are sitting on time bomb, God forbid I enter a public transport that is converted to CNG, i will not let one uneducated Igbo smoking driver send me to an early grave.

Always new ways to die in this country. This is serious competition for suicide bombers.

We should give CNG vehicles their own road o.

Imagine under Northern sun, someone would carry CNG enter road (when if you put raw gas cylinder inside hot car it would explode).
