the best cars here is
1. Acura MDX-luxury and comfy but not fuel efficient, has a big engine and is powerful and enjoying
2. Honda Cross Tour-a lil more economical than mdx but mdx more luxurious

the worst here is
1. chevy- transmission issues
2. Ford-also transmission issues

Use ur money go buy Nigerian neatly used 2014 camry.

why not go for the FORD.
its model is more recent than the rest & quite simple design.

I dont actually know much about cars,I think you should go for the one that the part is always available and easier to maintain.

The common cars that are everywhere are the cars that have spare parts and are easy to repair when faulty.

As a first time buyer and driver, it's such car that you need before you will end up calling your Village people witch.

As a first time car user, avoid Ford by all means. Though, the car is very reliable and strong but it's expensive to maintain. Secondly, should your ford develop over heating, half of the engine will be pieces before the water pump can be accessed. More so, you won't get Ford Specialist/Mechanic until you get to Ojuelegba.

ACURA MDX is a very good car as well but the parts are too expensive.

Forget about the other brands because of second hand value.

However, I will recommend you still go for Honda. Crosstour has its own defects too as no car is 100% perfect but Honda is a good brand. Their engine last longer compared to that of Toyota but Toyota has second hand value more than Honda. You can look the direction of Honda Accord from 2013.

As a first timer, consider the following:

Availability and Affordability of Parts

Availability of a Specialist/Mechanic

Second Hand Value of the car. You won't use the car forever, so why buy a car that you cannot quickly disposed to get another.

Ford explorer 2014 upwards is very good.

Acura is a very expensive car to maintain, the parts are so expensive, plus it doesn't have fuel economy, I have used it. It gives you class/carriage but too expensive to maintain.

The peace of mind that Toyota Camry has brought and continues to bring to Nigerian car owners can not be overestimated.

I have a Camry, which I don't drive much, but in nearly 6 years, not once has it failed to start. Other than the usual change of oil, air filter, break pads etc during servicing, absolutely no other expense. Nothing. I have even been waiting for it to breakdown, but still nothing

Please just go with the Honda cross tour.

Stay away from that Buick Enclave. It's a nice car but if you are not the type that travels to the US very often and can bring parts from time to time. The Ladipo parts sellers will use you to do xmas.
The parts are available in Lagos but they will charge you an arm and a leg.
I still have one in Nigeria and it's driving me crazy. I have finally given up on fixing it.
I like unique cars that's not common on Nigerian roads but be ready to pay the price.

that ford you posted is a pile of trash.
If you are single, the Infiniti G will serve.
If you have a family - the Crosstour is alright, the MDX is best.

Go for innoson cars

As a beginner that you're, pls go for Ford Focus my brother. This will enable you understand the first line of vehicle maintenance. The Focus is durable, comfy, economical and softly maintained. Mechanics is also available as well. Am telling you these base on my long term experience on mobility.

Buy Toyota car and rest. I am a car dealer, you may want to upgrade later, none of those car mentioned above has second hand values in Nigeria, but Toyota!, you can even sell it above the price you bought after 2years of usage.

If I were you I will definitely choose the Acura MDX. Very reliable and durable

My advice is go for cross tour or the MDX. They are both Honda products. Comfortable ride, reliable , parts are readily available, mechanics are everywhere, easy to maintain.

If you're a Family Guy, Gofor the Acura MXD. But if you single, Buy the Infiniti. It's a realsble machine with cheap parts .

It really depends what work he does and his mobility needs,whether daily long distance commutes or casual irregular drives.

The infiniti is well priced and he would still have enough to do CNG conversion.

Availability of Car Mechanics specifically in Nigeria, is another of the numerous factors including fuel consumption. These are the main factors to look into when buying especially a used car in Nigeria.

I'm an addicted Acura user and I will say this, Acura will shock you with the quality and performance. The maintenance will also shock you. It's right there at the top with the likes of Benz.

Choose the crosstour or the Acura. Run from the rest but run very far the land rover. Don't say you are not warned.
