Buy a car that will not give you sleepless night if anything goes wrong. A car you can drive into any garage and be able to work on. My two cents

Acura or the Crosstour will do just fine. They are both honda family so parts are available ...

Don't cancel the focus. I strongly recommend the Ford focus,that is what I am currently using. And trust me, it's a very nice car. Highly fuel efficient and the parts are incredibly cheap.

Na u and electrician go finalize better go for a known products there are many good cars u can get with that same amount Toyota has so many manufactured year even if not Toyota their are good Honda's from 2010 to 2020

Okay, thanks. Believe it or not, you've actually influenced my decision. Do you think the Crosstour is good at that price (10 million naira)? The one I'm checking out has a claimed 75k miles on the odometer and looks neat.

Make sure you run VIN checks before you pay for any car. The mileage could have been rolled over or back. I don't know what they usually call it.
You can hire an expert to help you run all the checks via its VIN.

I'm an addicted Acura user and I will say this, Acura will shock you with the quality and performance. The maintenance will also shock you. It's right there at the top with the likes of Benz.

Exactly...I have used the TL and RSX....Acura is officially my best car model after Benz. I just love it

the MDX is by far the most reliable and cost effective on the list. They only come into our shop for routine maintenance. I can't remember the last time we had one come in with actual repair issues. Also, I own one so I know. Mine has 276k miles on it with the original engine and transmission. If you can get a 2014, even better.

The crosstour is okay too but parts will be expensive. Don't even think about from the Infiniti down unless you want to give people like me all your money

Whatever you buy, make sure to spend the money to get a complete inspection BEFORE purchase.

These are very old cars, even being tokunbo cars, the engines and mileages are already gone. Pls don’t buy any car below 2015. This is 2024.

The best car for you here is the MDX.

Bro my advice for you is that if can take both ford edge and infiniti together it will be very easy for you to maintain because of your work if one have fought you can pick the second key immediately and for proper maintenance i will urge you to go for both if i were you i will just buy both there part is also available in the market , thought crosstour is ok too or go for siena 2018

Currently chatting with a US dealer on this one: 2011 ML 350. Total cost including shipping is $4,695, which is less than 8 million naira. The problem now is clearing as I have no clue and the clearing agent is not forthcoming with that information. I've already decided on the MDX or the Crosstour anyway.

I prefer something that stands out a bit. Note, I'm a first-time car buyer as well as a first-time driver. I've driven before, but not frequently because the cars weren't mine. So, please help me choose between these nine:

You're in Naij so parts and maintenance would be on top of the list.
Would get something that could be easily maintained. Cars after 60k are going to need some maintenance esp. depending on how they are driven.

I would
1.) Figure out your budget range and what type of car you want. Luxury, dependability, etc. You seem to have a range of cars there.
2.) Narrow down the cars that fit it
3.) Figure out the pricing for the cars before you start searching. If something seems really low or an amazing deal like the LR2 you mentioned, there's a reason behind it.
4.) Run the VIN. Look out for Cars that were totaled out, water damaged, accidents, odometer rollbacks(lower mileage cars are better obviously) etc.
5.) Take a mechanic you trust with you to do a thorough inspection of the car before paying. You can find a list of what to check online. Any dealer not willing, walk away. And focus on the mechanics just as much as the looks.

This your selection of car have the way it is except for say the Cross Tour and maybe Acura (which is a sweet ride but technical know how will be an issue)

If you a skilled mechanic by all means I will say you can buy any car on your list but if you not a mechanic and you do not have anyone oversea to ship in parts for you (the both of them) please stay clear from the list except perhaps the cross Tour because Nigeria mechanic will frustrate your enemy, its not like you have own/driven car for long, its your first car.


I understand the need for standing out which is good but if I may recommend car for you I will say you should go for 2014 Honda Accord FULL OPTION (dual screen, side mirror camera or a model year higher depending on your budget) or you can go for 2014 Honda CRV or ML 350 2010. I see you a classic man, any of these rides have class and good degree of reliability

For a beginner you should go for non of these cars. But if I will choose from d list above. I will go for d Honda

Oga.. e beta malet you go for those cars wey your village people don say make you turn blind eyes to. To be honest with you, the only one amongst the listed cars is just that Honda Crosstour. Very sweet ride though it's a glorified 2008-2011 Honda Accord aka Evil Spirit.

Have a good maintenance culture and you are good to go.

Acura is the luxury of Honda just as Lexus is the luxury of Toyota.

My advice. Go for either the Acura or Honda depending on ur income.

If you are a first timer, I won't advise any of this cars listed, but if you insist then go for Honda Crosstour.

If I'm to advice a 2013 Camry will give you peace of mind.

Don't buy a car for the mechanics.
