How in God's name is a country in Europe owning another territory in another continent ?
The Dutch government apologized for their colonial past

And France to New Caledonia

Are these people really sorry for their colonial/barbaric past ?

The Soviet was the one involved in the Cold war, and Russia was not the only nation in "The Union Of Soviet Socialist Republic" making it look as if it was the Russia federation which lost the cold war without pointing this fact is unacceptable.

The cold war which was a political and military tension between the USSR and the USA ended after the Soviet Union collapsed, there was never a war of aggression between the two side that eventually led to one side loosing to the other.

By saying "Russia lost the cold war and it was licking it's wound" you made it sound as if the Soviets lost in a decisive combat during that cold war which was not the actual case.

America is the newest avatar of 2,000 years of Western imperialism.
America is continuing from where the Brits and French stopped.
America is still holding on to Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa.

Do you know that residents of these territories cannot vote in next month's US Presidential Elections.
But they pay taxes to the U.S.

They are all the same.
America is their enforcer.
They gave independence and then demanded we all play by their ever-changing rules that they can unilaterally flout at any time.
Failure to abide by these rules mean sanctions and horrendous economic conditions.
And then they have 100+ bases and 11 floating bases to intimidate everyone into compliance.

I hate the Mullahs.
But they were right when they called the U.S., the Great Satan.
If you want to create anything of note without strict compliance to the State Department in Washington, nothing quite captures the essence of the U.S. as that label.
